Finally Japan has given us what we have been hoping for a long time. As soon as the men walked in I was screaming and yes choosing my favourites! For some reason I was hoping Kazuto and Shun would get along but nothing happened but then we have Dai. After episode 6 things look even more chaotic so let's see what happens next week!

lol I love how everyone is trying to request a American version of this show. Like we need to let just Japan have this for a good while, they need it way more than we do. Additionally, an American one would not have this vibe, our reality shows are always messy and raunchy. There’s a comfort vibe that Japan brings to the table due to their introvert culture that would be impossible to replicate.
Yeah I feel like part of the point of the show is that gay relationships are so taboo in Japan
American version would reduce the gay relationship (and friendship) to sex, even if they don't intend to.

Yeah when I first watched the trailer without there faces I also thought it was korean. I watched it without sound and just subs so I couldn't here the language and yeah I thought it was similar to HisMan but it's a whole different thing because there spending a month together witch is more realistic and I don't think they got the whole phone call/date system ect.
But yeah it makes more sence that it's Japanese.
I'm currently watching HisMan 3 but there's 2 episodes every week and it's a very slow pace show.

I love this show because there are no loud, flamboyant, nor slutty gay characters, not that I have a problem with that. There seemed to be no conniving nor underhanded motives. Everyone is genuine & respectful of each other's feelings. All actions are calculated, deliberate, & honest. I feel like this show gives me a true insight to the LGBT culture in Japanese society

Exactly. Everyone is calmer compared to American reality shows. I thought the same when I first got into Great British Bakeoff--and prefer it to any American reality cooking show, actually.
I would consider this very brave for netflix, since same sex couples are still a little bit new for older generations atleast in Japan. People have a really hard time coming out, so I hope this could inspire some people, and normalize these type things in Japan. 💗💞💓

I didn't like Shun at first. He appeared too negative until I learned his backstory. But it seems that Dai will get tired of waiting for Shun to decide what he wants and will move onto someone else. My favorite cast members are Taeheon, Kazuto, Gensei and Usak.

I absolutely deplore anything that's "reality show" based programs, but this looks so wholesome and heartfelt compared to what we see in the USA. I can't wait to watch, the cast seems so sweet.

I am the same way and usually put off by these kinds of shows, but this feels a lot like Terrace House (aside from the tragedy that befell that show), where it is less focused on drama and more about the connections between the people and their stories.
Usak and Kazuto is my roman empire 🤣🤧 I love how adorable these two are.
Oh I love this! Can't wait for episode 4. The episodes are so short though. I'm so used to those chinese dating show with almost 20 episodes of over 2hrs long 😅. These feel like we're barely seeing anything. They're out in pairs all day for the coffee truck and we only see them less than 5 minutes. I need more. I love Shun and Dai (I have hope for them) but the rest of the cast needs more screentime too 😌

OMG! I am so exciting to watch it! I think this show is going to open a door for Western cultural, and maybe change their minds about gays relationships.
I always think it is very important to listen to what someone says early on. For example Shun clearly stated he likes pure hearted people, youthful and someone who doesn't make him feel insecure. He said he tends to expect too much from his partner so is hoping the person can accept this. To me this demonstrates he has thought about some of his more difficult traits. I hope he does not fall into a past pattern and truly evaluates the potential 'boyfriend' for their long-term values.

Loved the show! And since in Japan same sex marriage is still not legal this is definitely a big step for the lgbtq community in Japan! A way for japanese straight people to see our world and understand a bit better, after all it is all about just loving a person so fingers crossed hopefully it will be legal in Japan Sooner than later ❤ thank you Netflix for high quality content like this! 🎉

@ episode8, shun x dai relationship dynamics seem a bit complicated. if ever they will be together, they would really have to work hard to make it especially in the initial part. shun's need more rest and healing while dai's need to manage his expectations. dai's a bit more open to move on easily.

After watching ep 6 I think kissing scene will be between either Dai x Shun or Dai x Ikuo but now I think Ikuo fits Dai more. Shun has very complicated personality and to be honest always send mixed signals. He doesn't want to be chased but then he is just sure Dai will still focus on him. He is irritated with Dai and pushes him away and he is moody all the time. I don't think he is ready for relationship now. Dai is more easygoing and wants to show affection so someone like Ikuo would be easier to handle for him. Still I'm a little bit curious how much of this show is scripted actually.

The concept of this show is absolutely beautiful and you have an amazing cast who are so diverse and even more amazing commenters who are so in sync with each other and the cast. This show has so much potential however I see that it's more focused on shun and Dai and that's good but there is so many more people who could also have an amazing friendship or relationship and you are not showing them therefore we are losing so much potential as it seems that you brush off other people and your cast doesn't seem like they would talk to each other if they don't have to, therefore making it so that they don't learn more about each other. Also although the idea of giving a person the choice on who they decide to work with sounds amazing, they stick to what they know and by that you shall get no more friendships and relationships Than what you have. You add more people when there are people who haven't fully seen where they stand with others (at least in my view) and so it really seems like we move on too fast from the other cast members and therefore the show seems half-baked.
