Conan, thank you for getting me through the roughest 6 months of my life. Watching you every night as I fall asleep has been my highlight of each day for the last 6-9 months. Hopefully everything gets better soon.
Brian, there is a clip of Conan in his late-night days where he mimics crying and drinking his own tears, which then give him superhuman strength. I always watch that to get me through tough times because it's the essence of Conan distilled into a few seconds of utter silliness that I find extremely inspiring.

Matt, I think your idea at 3:30 is superb. It solves the problem of canon caused by 'No Time to Oops'. For a long time I've wanted Bond to go period. I'd love to see a straight 50s adaptation of 'Moonraker'. Red-headed Nazi clones, anyone?
I've been a Conan fan since Late Night, but after all these years, I think I like him now more than ever! His originality and abilty to delight has never waned.
unpopular opinion but ive always preferred Roger Moore over all the others who played Bond. and yes, that includes Sean Connery. maybe its because i grew up watching and loving the TV show The Saint when i was a kid. it seemed very much like a pretty natural and lateral movement for him as an actor. plus, i thought he was hilarious in Cannonball Run
"While most people use the pronounciation of " Bond", the original idea of James Bond happened in south of tuscany between Siena and Grosseto, which on a sidenote is also famous for the Museo Archeologico d'arte della Maremma - which could be translated to Archaeological Art Museum, makes many people aplaud the idea that the original pronounciation of Bond is more like "Bondé" - Things Jordan would say *yes I made that up

To this day, even after the excellent Craig films, Dalton's Bond movies are still my alltime favourite. Licence to Kill especially. Living Daylights is cool too. Excellent stuff.
As a Brit I can honestly say Conan’s impression was spot on. Quite literally described my average day (snuff + who the next Bond should be = Robert Pattinson). Shame he didn’t mention the bad dental hygiene, then he’s completely nailed us!
I love the fact that Matt DIDN'T initiate a conversation about his favourite subject James Bond. Sona did. Then instantly regretted it as they went down a Roger Moore rabbit hole.
Jordan while trying to eliminate Bond starts talking about the pistol he is using: ''Well actually this Beretta i'm using is a variation of the 92 model with a couple of customized elements''
I'm 100% with Gourley on the idea that they could do bond movies set in the past. I always thought it would be cool to have the Lazenby movies that never were. All the other Bonds had at least 3 moves (maybe not Dalton, can't remember) but Lazenby should've stayed on for a couple more.
@@colonialstraits1069 Don't think so, not in the Lazenby situation anyways. They'd cast a similar looking actor to play Lazenby's version and make 2 more movies that picked up where On Her Majesty's Secret Service left off. Other movies set in the past would be more like alternate reality Bonds in the same way Daniel Craig's Bond wasn't a continuation of the other Bond movies, Craig's Bond was a whole new reboot of the franchise. (I never watched Quantum Leap so maybe this is similar) 🤷♂ I know you were just making a joke, but I'm serious about this stuff!
Timothy Dalton was the original choice to replace Sean Connery, but he turned it down believing himself to be too young to play the role. When Roger Moore was retiring his bond, they wanted Pierce Brosnan, but he was under contract for the TV series Remington Steel and they wouldn't let him loose to do the movie, so they came back around to Timothy Dalton who, by then, was actually the age he said Bond needed to be. So he then accepted the part
For pure fan service, a one-off team up movie set in the previous continuity. James Bond is established as a cover identity that passes to each agent that becomes 007. For some unknown reason, someone is assassinating retired 007's. They already got "Connery" and "Moore." If Lazenby is up for it, a short cameo where he gets killed in the cold open by the unknown assassin. So "Dalton" and "Brosnan" have to team up to watch each other's back as they can only trust each other.
I’ll be honest, I’d been skipping these the last few weeks. Probably a little exhausted with the frankly oppressive amount of Conan on tap. But this one brought me back. Turd as it is, this one worked on me.
To talk of any Bond actor before Daniel Craig is to lose most of the audience, that is true. That said, Matt is right and Roger Moore is the coolest Bond. He got old, and for some people that apparently negates the entire Moore era, but he was the handsomest actor to play Bond, with the deepest voice and the suavest presence onscreen. Brosnan is cut-rate Moore, and the less said about the others the better.
*Lee Pace for Bond !* .... He's fantastic in Foundation ... has the athletic build and very handsome guy... excellent actor ( he was brilliant as DeLorean ).
The first Bond on screen was in a 1954 american television production. MI6 became the CIA and they called him Jimmy Bond(an american). Casino Royale. Go for it Coco.
