They are still doing well, the have been through heavy rain and wind with no issues cracks or leaking. I will say that one of the fog light covers is a little bit loose, but I had planned on changing them out with led versions. When I do I shall make another video. As it stands I am still extremely happy with these fog lights.
was quoted $609 by the dealer ship and 700$ by a local shop to do this to my 2015 mazda 3. after seeing this video i just ordered the parts and ill have it done for $150 and an hour of time. thank you my man!
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for creating it. I would only add a couple of things. 1 - Before ordering parts, make sure your Mazda 3 comes pre-wired. Not all countries assemble the same harnesses. 2 - Since installing the switch deals with the wiring in the steering column area, I suggest disconnecting the battery. This way we avoid any potential issues with an accidental airbag activation.
Your video significantly shortened my learning curve ... was able to replace the broken fog light on my 2016 Mazda 3 HB in under 10 minutes (not counting the 5 minutes it took to gather up a few tools and cover them in tape ;-) ). Thanks!
Excellent Video and exactly right. Followed it right down to the screws. Pre-wire was right on. I'm not a mechanically inclined person and took me 15 min total. Only advice I have is to turn the steering wheel sharp left or right to get to turn signal release. This is a FANTASTIC tutorial. Right on the money. Good job on this.
I have a 2016 Mazda 3, process is identical and it works! I went with a different switch. Part number:KS04-66-122 this has the auto headlights with the fog switch, also I used self tapping screws to fasten the foglights in their housing. Thanks for posting a straight forward video, it was very helpful!
Just installed them yesterday and it made the car seem more classy and the fogs are bright and very effective!! Glad I was able to find this great clear installation video!!
Got mine for 55 bucks. Came with everything I need. Didn't use the stock wirings. I just used the new wirings that came with the foglights. Installed the new switch instead of replacing the signal lever. Now the foglights on when I just turn on the switch. 👌🏻
Thank you for this video! I just put new fog lights on my 2014 Mazda 3, late to the party I know, and your instructions worked perfect! Only thing I did differently was buy my parts on Amazon.
Great video! Thanks. Based on how easy you made it look, I ordered the same fog lights and switch. Hooking everything up took me about 30 minutes, didn't have any problems. Fogs look awesome. Thanks!
Mate, I'm glad that I watch your video. I got my H11 fog lamps from Corksport 3 weeks back but yet to install it because their instruction was not clear and based on the previous generation Mazda 2.
Thanks for posting this video, it was very helpful to me. I got the new signal lever/light switch on eBay as well as the fog lights...this was a very easy project and cost under $100.
omg you make this look so easy. I'm getting the 15 or 16 next month and I can't wait to upgrade it. but I really don't want to pay someone an arm & leg for something easy like this. Great tutorial
I just installed fog lights on my Mazda 3 after watching this video. Super easy although I didn't turn the wheel so taking out the light switch was the hardest part. (used a paint can opener) Great tutorial!
It is a really really helpful video. I was thinking about it and hesitating at the same time but from your video I gathered that it would be easier than I thought! Thank you very much for sharing it! Cheers!
Awesome tutorial! I have a 2016 Mazda 6 and I want to install LED DRLs with fog lights but there werent any videos but I think they may be nearly the same process. Im glad I stumbled across your excelleng video! BTW please please do the DRL installation video when you decide on switching!!! Keep on doing you man!
Thanks for the video. Just installed fog lights and the fog light switch on my '16 Mazda 3. For those with auto head lights, here's the part number (KD37-66-122) for the fog switch that I brought and used.
Yes, just google search it. It should bring up the headlight switches for you. Depending on if you have auto-headlights or not, your part number will be different. The one I listed is for those who have auto headlights option installed on their Mazda.
I just installed them. Great Video btw!! Very quick install. Only issue I'm noticing now is...that I guess because of the gap? It rained the other day here and now one of the lights have like 1/4" filled up with water. I can unscrew the fog light as many times? Will this keep happening in rain?
Great video. Simple descriptions, informative, easy to follow. But do yourself a favor: buy a tripod for the video camera so the two handed jobs are easier and you can show them.
thanks a lot, this vid helped me to change the light bulbs from the fog lights in my M3SGT, I just installed LED lights to get a whiter look that match the bi xenons.
Being in the UK I had to look for a stick with front and rear fog light switches. I went and bought a second hand one from ebay which had the Auto light switch too. I can confirm I know have Auto-lights as well as the fog lights.
God this is so much easier than the 2017+ models when they added led fog lights. Taking off the entire front bumper is the only way to access the fog lights
Thank you for your great review. I have the same model and I want to add these to my car. I didn't knew that you need a fog light switch. Just in time before put them and don't turn on.
Great tutorial, thanks. Does the set of fog lights you bought have the ability to adjust their aim? Also do they use the standard H11 bulbs like the factory fogs, or something else?
Great tutorial - thanks! Do you by chance know if fog lights have adjustment screws or if they need it, or are they just generally aiming "that way" and that's it? Thanks again!
I just bought a CX-3.. I know they aren't the same cars but I will have to check if they are pre-wired...Can you mention what the new switch cost from the dealer?
Hi thanks for the video..I was about to pay someone to install my 2016 Mazda 6 i touring fog lights until I watched you do this😂😂😂..great job! Quick question..if I want to install the fog lights with turn signal is it the same thing or should I get that professionally done? Thank you in advance.
I bought foglights for my Mazda 2, Everything is installed as the video, but when the fogs doesn´t turn on. Maybe I need a relay?? or the oem wiring doesn´t need that?
Very good video. I just bought the lights and wanted to know if I need to obligatorily the Fog light switch, or I can install it and with the nights lights they will turn on normal? Or if the Fog light switch is only to have the option of turning them on or off when you want? thanks men
Hi. I have just bought the same kit as you have in the video but I notice that the new switch has not got the Auto lights selection on it. I guess I have to give up that option. Maybe I simply ordered the wrong one.
Great video, have you installed led ones yet? Also, anyone know how to get auto lights on with the switch so the headlights lights turn on automatically
Very cool! Definitely gonna want to get some for my iSport. I already odered an Intake and box, so I want to see if I can go pretty far with over upgrades to the car. Thanks for the tutorial and all the hints!
Thanks a lot dude. So i looked up the parts you had. the spyder fog lights are $85 and the switch on ebay are like around $40. So my question is, am I looking at the right products? Thanks. Although I am thinking of getting an OEM swith. (If thats a good idea?)
NotAnotherHowTo Thanks to you I installed my Spyder fog lights and Mazda light control stick this morning. It was THE BEST D.I.Y. I have ever done on a car. Both lights were mounted in fifteen minutes and the stick took five. Just an observation: I'm beginning to think that there is only one wiring harness for all six models of the 3i. If I'm right that means the plug & play possibilities are awesome.
Hello, can you help me locate the backup camera? My 2015 mazda 3 hatchback didnt come with one, so I'm trying to install one. I need help locating the compartment that holds your backup camera so I know where to place it. Thanks.
Ernie Viskupic design hasn't changed much on 3rd gen mazda's but speaking as someone who owns a 2017 mazda 3 you will lose your auto-lights if you buy the switch that has the fog light ability.
Hey Thanks for the tutorial! I have a Mazda 6 i am hoping that it is that easy as well! Thank you very much for making the video it helps alot!!! definitely sub thanks
Christen C I looked, and actually its the same exact set up so it will work. I just havent had a chance to order the lights or anything. If you order them let me know what you get, I wasnt 100% sure on what i wanted yet. The only thing is that there is only one screw instead of two, I believe, to access the lights under the steering wheel.
Darrell Mila I wont order the kit he has, I'm not really wanting the yellow lights, not a big fan* (no offense) But i will order the switch on ebay (link below). and put in probably 15000K lights. I just ordered 10000k head lights and I love them www.ebay.com/itm/2014-2015-Mazda6-Front-Fog-Lights-Combination-Switch-Genuine-OEM-NEW-KD37-66-122-/191113352739?fits=Year%3A2015%7CModel%3A6&hash=item2c7f3e5623&vxp=mtr
So i put the fog lights on my 2015 mazda 6. Easy!!!! Toke maybe 30 minutes. There is a part in the owners manual about changing the fog light blobs follow that there are tabs that you have to puched on when u buts the fake thing out u will only need a screw driver (flat head) and a socket
I have a Mazda 6 but I'm not sure how to remove the dummy blinds from the fog light slot. Can you please help me? Do I need to remove the bumper for installing the fog light assembly?
What I did on my 6 is I went through the wheel well, just take off the fastener clips on the wheel well turn the wheel so you can reach better. Bend back the well and reach the clips from below and it should come out. Everything else should be similar to the video.
They are working well, I haven't had to change the bulbs and there are no cracks or leaks. One of the fog light covers is a little loose but thats an easy part to replace.
I have it and the gap between the light and the outer housing is huge. Use washers to bring it [the fog light] forward or create your own "O" ring to prevent water from going in. Kinda expected this since it isn't OEM.
I actually kind of liked that it has a gap so when it's foggy water doesn't collect on the lens. Next time I'm at the dealer I'll see how much the gap is on the OEM versions. I though they had it too but I can't be sure
NotAnotherHowTo I can confirm that the OEM fog lights on the Mazda3 has a 1/4" inch gap (if that) between the light and outer housing. I took a photo for everyone: tinypic.com/r/2nlacr4/8 I don't like the gap, on the SPYDER but its worth it considering it, plus the switch, is like half the cost of buying OEM.
Great little tutorial, I Just wanted to ask how the fogs are holding up?
They are still doing well, the have been through heavy rain and wind with no issues cracks or leaking. Glad to help.
was it hard? I am afraid that I don't want to harm any original stuffs.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for creating it.
I would only add a couple of things.

2 - Since installing the switch deals with the wiring in the steering column area, I suggest disconnecting the battery. This way we avoid any potential issues with an accidental airbag activation.
So which countries do or don't come pre-wired?
You are amazing! I just bought a Mazda 3 without fog lamps, and was prone to pay someone to install. Now I am gonna do it myself.
Your video significantly shortened my learning curve ... was able to replace the broken fog light on my 2016 Mazda 3 HB in under 10 minutes (not counting the 5 minutes it took to gather up a few tools and cover them in tape ;-) ). Thanks!

Yes they did thanks again!!
This is the best video I've seen on how to do this install. Cutting into the wire harness is not the way to go. Thanks!!!
Just did this to my 2015 Mazda3i sport and worked exactly as shown. This was very helpful and I am super happy I now have fog lights.
Got mine for 55 bucks. Came with everything I need. Didn't use the stock wirings. I just used the new wirings that came with the foglights. Installed the new switch instead of replacing the signal lever. Now the foglights on when I just turn on the switch. 👌🏻

Very good video. Knowing there is wiring for aftermarket fog lights gets me super excited to buy them.
Great video! Thanks. Based on how easy you made it look, I ordered the same fog lights and switch. Hooking everything up took me about 30 minutes, didn't have any problems. Fogs look awesome. Thanks!
Mate, I'm glad that I watch your video. I got my H11 fog lamps from Corksport 3 weeks back but yet to install it because their instruction was not clear and based on the previous generation Mazda 2.

richard imhoff Glad the video was helpful! Thanks for watching.
It is a really really helpful video. I was thinking about it and hesitating at the same time but from your video I gathered that it would be easier than I thought! Thank you very much for sharing it! Cheers!

Thanks for the video. Just installed fog lights and the fog light switch on my '16 Mazda 3. For those with auto head lights, here's the part number (KD37-66-122) for the fog switch that I brought and used.
How did u use this number ? Like u digit that on ebay and that is it or what ?
Yes, just google search it. It should bring up the headlight switches for you. Depending on if you have auto-headlights or not, your part number will be different. The one I listed is for those who have auto headlights option installed on their Mazda.
Great tutorial! I was looking to upgrade soon and this has given me more confidence!
Thanks for the detailed steps. Good choice on going with the yellow lights. I'm gonna do the same now.
Will the fogs power on with only the parking lights on? Awesome tutorial.. Thank you!
Thanks for the vid. Installing the same package on my 2015 Mazda3!
I just installed them. Great Video btw!! Very quick install.
Only issue I'm noticing now is...that I guess because of the gap? It rained the other day here and now one of the lights have like 1/4" filled up with water. I can unscrew the fog light as many times? Will this keep happening in rain?
take them out and inspect the housing maybe there is a crack or dry area that needs some caulk or butyl rope
Great vid man. Very clear and easy to follow.
Question though: Did the fog light indicator on the instrument cluster come on with this?
tnx for the vid. it helped me change the black panel with the chrome ring in 30 seconds :D beast paying money to the garage !!

Damn good tutorial. Will be using it for my own install. Thanks for the video!
Thank you, glad you found it useful!
NotAnotherHowTo Are these fogs pretty effective on the road?
God this is so much easier than the 2017+ models when they added led fog lights. Taking off the entire front bumper is the only way to access the fog lights
Great video very clear and understanding I too also have an I sport Hatchback and will be installing fogs!! Thanks for the upload!!
M Bookem Glad you liked it, thanks for watching.
Thank you for your great review. I have the same model and I want to add these to my car. I didn't knew that you need a fog light switch. Just in time before put them and don't turn on.
Thanks for the vid. Very well explained, waiting for the lights to come in.
Nice. Why the yellow tint though? The originals are clear.
Thanks for this. Install them. No issues on my 2014 I grand touring
Excellent video, very detailed. I had no idea that would be so easy, now I want to do this on my 2014 3 i Touring
Thanks, go for it. Its very easy and adds some flair.
Did you try this, and if so, did the 2014 have an existing wire plugged into the dummy switch behind the plastic cover, like his for the 2015?
Great video. I'm planning to buy a Mazda3 so this video will definitely help
Very good video. I just bought the lights and wanted to know if I need to obligatorily the Fog light switch, or I can install it and with the nights lights they will turn on normal? Or if the Fog light switch is only to have the option of turning them on or off when you want? thanks men
You need the fog light switch. Without it the fog lights do not get power.
Hi. I have just bought the same kit as you have in the video but I notice that the new switch has not got the Auto lights selection on it. I guess I have to give up that option. Maybe I simply ordered the wrong one.
Great video. Did you do something about the space betewen the fog ligth and the plastic cover ?? The one left in the bottom...
Ivan Romero Just installed it and wondering the same thing. Let me know if you figure something out
Nice job, I would recommend disconnecting the negative battery cable before installation.
There is another wire in the area of the fog lights. Do you know what this is for? Is it DRL hook up? Thank you!
Can you do another tutorial when or if you install a HID headlight bulb conversion on your car?
Hey, this is really great! Do you by any chance know if the 2013 mazda cx 5 is prewired and have a dummy plug too? Thanks!
Great video, have you installed led ones yet? Also, anyone know how to get auto lights on with the switch so the headlights lights turn on automatically
Do you think the install would be similar for the mazda 6.
The connection between the signaling lever and the focus, it comes or you did it personally
Attentive to your answer
regards
and also can you upload or send me pictures of the fog lights, I just want to see how they look at night those yellow ones
Do you think it will be similar for the Mazda 6?
Great install vid! But do you think that same switch is available for the 2016 mazda 6? If so I cant seem to find it online?
Very cool! Definitely gonna want to get some for my iSport. I already odered an Intake and box, so I want to see if I can go pretty far with over upgrades to the car.
Thanks for the tutorial and all the hints!
Hello, do you know if the 2015 mazda 6 sport base also comes with prewired fog light? And i assume the whole installation process should be identical?
I have a 2015 Mazda 3 sedan. Would my car have the wiring harness for the fog lights already installed behind the fake cover like yours?
I have a question did you take it to the dealer after you install it to get it tweaked or anything
this should work for the 2016? Mazda 3? right?
yes it is the same. I opened mine up and same connectors
so would you say this video would be just as helpful for the 6? i can't seem to find a proper installation video for the 6 :(
Plugging just the bulb without changing the other piece a the steering , will the bulb go on ?
Nice tutorial! Thanks for taking the time to post.
Great Video, I have a quedaron, Do you know if I could use the same fog lights switch for my mazda2 2015?
Greetings
Thanks a lot dude. So i looked up the parts you had. the spyder fog lights are $85 and the switch on ebay are like around $40. So my question is, am I looking at the right products? Thanks. Although I am thinking of getting an OEM swith. (If thats a good idea?)
Sounds about right. Definitely get the OEM switch. I makes life a lot easier by using the stock wiring!
Hello, What if I do not remove the old light switch, will the fog light on with head light on?
Awesome, young man! Please be sure to share any other upgrades for this car!
archiguitarchi If i do anymore i will definitely share with you all.
Hello, can you help me locate the backup camera? My 2015 mazda 3 hatchback didnt come with one, so I'm trying to install one. I need help locating the compartment that holds your backup camera so I know where to place it. Thanks.
Do you not have rear fog lights? In Europe it's a legal requirement.
How did you connect the wire in the inside
Is it the same if I want to do this for my mazda3 2018?
would this be the same for the sedan version 2015 mazda 3 isv?
Did your 3 have auto lights before you upgraded the OEM light swtich?
it did not
By any chance would you know if the 2014 mazda6 touring has the fog light pre wire? Just bought the same spyder fogs but just need the switch now?
I recently bought a new 2017 Mazda 3. I take it the design hasn't changed?
Ernie Viskupic design hasn't changed much on 3rd gen mazda's but speaking as someone who owns a 2017 mazda 3 you will lose your auto-lights if you buy the switch that has the fog light ability.
Jordan they also sell the auto switch with the fog light option for $10 more than the regular switch.
Hey man, did your base hatch come with halogen or bixenon headlamps? I see a projector but can't tell if theyre halogen or HID.
They're halogen projectors.
+Zuriel Briones all models have projectors. Some with HIDs, some with Halogens.
Kid made one video and dipped 😂
Great Video, it´s very well explained. I own a Mazda 3 2015 Sport 2.5
Greeting from Mexico.
+Carlos Aguirre Hernandez Thanks for watching, glad you found it useful.
how do you add fogs if your car just has the plastic there with no fogs
Hey Thanks for the tutorial! I have a Mazda 6 i am hoping that it is that easy as well! Thank you very much for making the video it helps alot!!! definitely sub thanks
Benjamin Fleenor I have a 2015 mazda 6. did this work for you?
Christen C I looked, and actually its the same exact set up so it will work. I just havent had a chance to order the lights or anything. If you order them let me know what you get, I wasnt 100% sure on what i wanted yet. The only thing is that there is only one screw instead of two, I believe, to access the lights under the steering wheel.
Benjamin Fleenor when you order do you need the switch too ? Or does it come with the kit?
Darrell Mila I wont order the kit he has, I'm not really wanting the yellow lights, not a big fan* (no offense) But i will order the switch on ebay (link below). and put in probably 15000K lights. I just ordered 10000k head lights and I love them

Btw whose light are so amazing there gonna break necks while passing by
I have a Mazda 6 but I'm not sure how to remove the dummy blinds from the fog light slot. Can you please help me? Do I need to remove the bumper for installing the fog light assembly?
What I did on my 6 is I went through the wheel well, just take off the fastener clips on the wheel well turn the wheel so you can reach better. Bend back the well and reach the clips from below and it should come out. Everything else should be similar to the video.
does it fit on 2017 mazda 3 hatchback?
is it mandatory to put that thing that you put in the steering wheel to turn on the fog lights?? Let me know please!!
Yes, it has an extra switch to turn on the fog lights themselves. The option isn't there unless your car came from the factory with fog lights.
Were you able to access the indicator lights as well? I'm also planning to change them to LEDs without taking off the fender or bumper.
If you mean the turn signals then yes. You just reach up through the opening of the fog light and the bulb holder twists out.
Great tutorial body
Thanks
Rodolfo Lopez Govea Thanks so much
gracias muy buen video logre hacerlo en 15 minutos!!!!!!!
A year later, are they still holding up? Any major or minor issues ?
They are working well, I haven't had to change the bulbs and there are no cracks or leaks. One of the fog light covers is a little loose but thats an easy part to replace.
Bro did u buy the switch separately or did it come with the fog lights?
I had to purchase the switch seperately online as an OEM part.
So do you no if the 2016 mazda6 Sport is prewired for fog lights any help would be great
I have the same car, did you find out if it comes pre-wired?
does it differ if you install in the opposite order?
djmvans15 Left or Right fog it doesnt matter, As far as the swtich goes i would recommend doing that last.
Great video you get a 💯➕ I was also thinking you could have gone with LED bulbs the are much brighter. 💯👍🏼😊
Where did you purchase the switch for the fog lights?? If you don't mind me asking? Plz and thank you
Frankie Cruz Amz has it for $45. Model number KD37-66-122
Lowicky Li thanks my dude
Awesome, Don't even have the car. :P. Want it though!
The 2014 does have the per wiring
Hey man. Any issues since the install? All still good?
Demetri P No issues sofar. Its been through rain, wind, and sand and they're still fine.
I'll be checking also since I have to go to the dealer for my plates.
***** Great, when you do please check and let us know!
NotAnotherHowTo I can confirm that the OEM fog lights on the Mazda3 has a 1/4" inch gap (if that) between the light and outer housing. I took a photo for everyone:
tinypic.com/r/2nlacr4/8
I don't like the gap, on the SPYDER but its worth it considering it, plus the switch, is like half the cost of buying OEM.
Thanks for that info, I'm definitely not worried about the larger gap on the spyders. They're great for the cost!
