Hello bro! Hope you are doing good. I have query after watching videos of setting up a Marine Fish tank, Is water changes necessary in Marine Tanks??? Marine World Kolathur, the guy over there says that one doesn't need to make water changes, just need to top up when the water evaporates. Wanted to get some clarity on this, can you pls clarify?
It really depends bro.. It is simple.. we do waterchange when Nitrate level exceeds limit.. Skimmers help in removing those organic compounds which turns to Ammonia, and eventually nitrates.. If your skimmer is very efficient, Nitrate accumulation will be very slow and it takes lot of time to reach the limit.. that period depends on how efficient our skimmer is.. also out Bioload, which is total no of fish.. also our capacity.. all combined together tells us how often we do waterchange bro..

Try Yellow Watchman goby, Firefish, Dottyback (semi aggressive but should be ok in 80ltres, if only one), Tailspot blenny, Royal Gramma, small school of blue green chromis, these are some of the fish i had in my wishlist. you can read about it and then make a decision
