do you know why that crease that goes from the bottom most baton to the clew is there? i experienced that just today when i was doing some racing in some breezy conditions and im not 100% sure why.
@@shaxxy3759 yes, i have noticed that it appears when i pull a bit of vang on but it definitely should not be that prominent after maybe only 25% vang pulled on
Very helpfull , there is a lot to learn from a raw video !Very Good idea
Could you also upload the scene where you lost your mainsail?
Michael we didn't lose the main, it was just sucked out the back at one point. It also knocked over the camera so you can't see
When I sailed first time 29er our main also sliped out of the mast, but we had a motoboat that helpde us. :)
we took the main down while capsized because it was too windy to get the boat upright.
Could one sail this or would you not advise it?

if you mean the diagonal crease from the spreaders to the end of your boom, it’s probably caused by lots of vang

What was your combined crew weight?
What kind of grip tape do you use on your boat? Is it less abrasive than the tape everyone else uses?

It's really nice, much less abrasive but very grippy. I got the black waffle cut.
Thanks!
