Today I managed to snag four Switch SHMUPS during a Gamestop sale. Did they actually arrive new?

Awesome video, Cesar! I never really got into the genre. I kinda like the older side scroller shooters though. I'm glad to see GS came through with the sealed copies! 😊
Oh I was in the same boat a couple of months ago. Always felt the genre was never for me, boy was I wrong! Ever thought of checking more out?

Nice pickups I picked up that Darius bundle from them a while back for $30 I believe. I already had the cotton games. Nice that your games came sealed.

Hey Branden! Cotton Reboot is a great starting point so far from what I played. Basically a remake/port of the original so if you’re curious of trying the series out I’d try that one. So far it’s been a blast!
Those games look super cool I’ll need to check them out! I also don’t have on GameStop I still shop there for games and collectibles.
I only wish the GameStop close by to me had better inventory, thankfully another bigger GameStop isn’t too far off but with deals like this, I can’t hate them.
Cotton remake is my favorite shooter on the switch. Great pickup!
It’s the only one of these four that I’ve gotten to try and I love how it has a new arrange mode and the original basically ported to it! What a package!

It’s such a lighthearted game, definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good entry level shmup!
I agree with so much of this. I don't like Gamestop anymore.. in fact ALOT of stuff they do pisses me off.. But I don't want to see them go completely. Its my theory that stores like that could be the only way to buy physical media in the future. I just wish they'd treat their employees better and get a handle on their businesses. With that being sad, onto the actual video... HOLY CRAP THEY ARE SEALED!!!
Yeah Iowa, if they could just wipe out their unnecessary Funko Pop sections and replace them with actual retro games then I’d visit them more often. It just feels like the company is going through the motions at this point.
JRPG life had a great suggestion that they should just close down half their stores and consolidate the rest of them. They could double up on their workforce and focus more on better customer service and items. Maybe hire "Retro" experts that can make sure retro game are authentic and like you said, get rid of the funkos and stuff and bring back Retro games and items. @@ScorpioCesarcade
Oh man, im a schmup guy as well! Im not the best at em, but i do love em! If ya wanna go og, look into the gradius/life force games, r type, super earth defense force, axelay, lightning force, gairus, and steel empire!

I typically never shop at GameStop just because I have some really cool retro stores around me, but I do love that 4 for $40 deal that they run on occasion. Love that you nabbed those shoot em ups. I have both Cottons and while they are very short, they are very charming. I also have Darius HD but you got me on Darius Burst! I don't have that one. If you love shoot 'em ups then you should play Sine Mora! I love that game. High five to Game Stop for the win, that's surprising you got such a great deal on SEALED games!

The Cotton series are indeed such silly fun, I love the aesthetic of them and the imagination in the level design and enemies. Darius Burst is pretty cool, I gotta say the ultra widescreen display of the games really threw me off at first. I have to check out Sine Mora, never played it but I have heard that name before! Gamestop really came through with these two packs but it's a shame that we now expect "New" games to arrive not factory sealed. XD
G Darius is one of the greatest games of all time in my opinion. And I just love later on for the first time 2 years ago.
I’m excited to check this one out! I heard great things about it and Darius Gaiden. I wonder which is better.
As a shmup fan, those are some good pick-ups there. The Cotton games I didn't pick up, but I have heard they're good. Darius is a lot of fun, same with G Darius.

But on a real note don’t buy the G Darius/Burst collection. I bought the standalone G Darius then got the collection and the save file basically corrupted because of the update file and save file of the stand alone game is not compatible with the collection. The only way I was able to fix the problem was to do a factory reset on my Switch but unfortunately losing my save data with no cloud saves.
@@_Sergmanx_ noted! Going to just stay away from that collection then and get whichever ones are worth it on the consoles they released on.
Haven’t honestly played either but I definitely heard they are both really good. Maybe it might be time for me to go grab these 🤔
So far I’m hearing G Darius is a classic as well as the Cotton games. Gotta check them out tonight!
