    Dave, you mentioned the MIL levy is higher in new construction neighborhoods. Will the MIL levy ever go down once the infrastructure is paid for and the area becomes established? Or will it only go up?

      Great question! Yes, the mil levy can go down over time. At some point, the bonds are paid down to where the city will annex the subdivision. There is also a political component, depending on who is in power, the city may or may not want to annex because it may have too many people of a particular party. You might also see the taxes go up or down depending on whether or not new schools are being built too. It also depends on your property valuation. If the assessor increases your valuation, even if your mil levy went down, your taxes are going up. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the comment.
