After experiencing a direct hit from Hurricane Gilbert in 1988 here in Jamaica, I've never wanted to see another storm, hurricane, etc., ever again. It is not great experiencing the eye of a storm.
@@e.marshall_1 👌🏽. We experienced Ivan here in Jamaica too but the eye passed some miles from the south coast in the sea. Some really got the brute force winds that caused devastation and death. In the NW where I am, it was bad but not devastating plus Ivan was so slow and a Category 5 when it passed compared to Gilbert at 3 that was much faster. The difference is that Gilbert's eye passed directly over us so most of the island experienced more damage and death also. Ivan would have been utter devastation if it passed directly over us. I can never forget those slow howling winds.
