- Spartan highlights from #8 MSU's 37-33 victory against #6 UM in a matchup of the last 2 unbeaten teams in the Big Ten during the 2021 season. The Spartans were led by 5 touchdowns from running back Kenneth Walker III. The Spartans overcame a 16 point 3rd quarter defecit with the aid of several clutch passes from Spartan QB Payton Thorne, multiple receptions by Jayden Reed, and a game sealing interception by Charles Brantley. Mel Tucker moves to 2-0 against the Michigan Wolverines, and the Spartans are now 10-4 in their last 14 games against UM. Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt on the call.

It’s a popularity contest more than it is about the best player. I admit that Aidan Hutchinson is one of the best in the nation, but there are other defenders with way better stats that deserved to be there over Hutchinson.
@@joetallo8022 MSU has had multiple defensive players that were better than Hutchinson back in 2013-2015 (Trae Wayne's, Darqueze Dennard, any of the Bullough brothers, Naiquan Jones, etc) and don't think they were even mentioned for Heisman

Been to a lot of games, that was by far the loudest I’ve ever heard Spartan Stadium. The only thing close was the last second Hail Mary vs Russell Wilson Wisconsin
I got to go to the MSU-Mich game in the Breslin the year State went to the Final 4 with Cassius. That was the loudest sporting event I've ever been at. I was also at the 2016 Mich-OSU at The Shoe, which was the loudest football game I've ever been at. But maybe because I'm a State fan, this game was the most insane thing I've ever witnessed in my life.
I was there and there has never been anything like it. When 9 got the wheels going the crowd was in it the rest of the way.

Out of all the games I’ve attended at Spartan Stadium (both as a student and as an alum) since 2012, this was the best atmosphere, by far. It was insanely loud. I didn’t have a voice all weekend. GO GREEN BABY!
I’m a student currently and was in the student section. My vocal chords were obliterated at the end of the game and I had no voice for 3 days
I agree. I've been to a lot of big games i.e. Rose Bowl, Big ten championship, vs Oregon, vs notre dame under the lights, vs Ohio state on numerous occasions....but this game was something else. I think we stood the entire game and it was LOUD. Definitely a memory to hold on to

It had to be the loudest crowd ever at Spartan Stadium. I mean, it was absolutely deafening. It was the first time my dad, brother and I attended a Michigan-Michigan State football game, and it was special-a memory I will cherish forever.
I attended this game and it was one of the best games I’ve ever had the privilege to attend. I love my Spartans

Awesome post. Watching it over and over. Watched this game at a popular watering hole near campus with a long time friend. I am not sure if I have ever seen as much emotion in that place as I saw on Saturday, Oct 30, 2021. The Spartan fans just blew the roof of of the place during the game and then especially after the Brantley pick when it was finally realized that Michigan could do nothing but watch the clock tick down to zero. What a victory!!. What a grand day!! GO GREEN, GO WHITE!! This from one extremely euphoric old alum!

I was at the game and it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had at a sporting event. This was even bigger than the 2015 Oregon game and I am so happy that I went. The crowd was amazing and not a single person left early even when we were down 16. I took lots of pictures too that I will keep for years to come!! :)

I was there with my brother who is a Michigan fan. We were packed in like sardines but the atmosphere was incredible.

The only two losses Michigan had this year were to Michigan State and the eventual national champion Georgia. All three had great seasons.
I'm a split fan; grew up in Ann Arbor with a father who went to U of M but myself went to Michigan State for my undergrad. And the one thing I have to say about this game..... I like the Spartans Green on Green helmets.
After Kenneth got that touchdown, I ran to my neighbors house, who is a HUGE wolverine fan by the way, and said game on!
I was at that game and it was very loud, there were two other times that the stadium was that loud..... Notre Dame Fake FG for a TD and Cousins bomb to the endzone against Wisconsin... GO GREEN

As a Michigan fan, this was game of the year in 2021 imo. I obviously wasn't happy that we lost, but at the end of the day, if your gonna lose, lose with a fight and be proud of the effort
