Dear Virtuoice, I have reviewed many of your videos and am impressed by their comprehensiveness and precision. They have become the standard by which I choose to purchase products we share mutual interest in. I believe the F1 is probably the best commercial production survival knifes in the world. I did like the TK2, however I do not believe the steel is practical for a wide range of useage as is brittle. Also liked your review on the D25C Clicky Titanium Alloy flashlight- just ordered one.
I hate when I don't get a clean shot I'll never take a shot if a doe has a fawn with it and I strongly hope all other hunters here don't either. I never enjoy having the animal suffer while I have to jog up and do a follow up shot. I always respect the animal and the order of nature and am thankful that the animal is able to provide me and my family with food, I've always been a softie and never feel fantastic about taking a shot however I understand that the animal has grown up in the wild as opposed to a breeding farm.
Say Heah, For what I do and use my knives,, I really like my Njord #3 Fallkniven Northern Lights. But I did team my A-1 with the H-1 because the H-1 reminds me of my 3V Skookum Bush Tool. So my A-1/H-1 is good in ALL weather, I mostly use the set in my wet and snowy conditions . I enjoyed this video. Thanx You. ,, .
At 3:10 it would appear the stag is still alive - the mouth and eyes are moving, not seemingly in a manner of the nerve endings firing as occasionally occurs with CNS hits. I hope you were convinced otherwise Wako
Is bamboo one of your favorite handle materials? Have you considered using a deer drag? Various versions are sold that give a mechanical advantage when you drag a stag. I find that it makes deer hunting easier after the kill.
Hi, thank you...I like the NL5, but I am looking at the New S1 Pro laminate cobalt steel (lam. CoS) This looks like and from what I have read and seen on reviews a very tough knife. take care
@havoc6g No, I didn't. The Idun comes with relatively shallow convex bevels starting from the mid line. I just removed its factory made micro V edge. Its original convex geometry is very good for game dressing. Thanks.
@dandotreillydot42058 Cutlet, Steak, Curry, or some. Our family consume a half of a single deer a week, of course only back straps and thighs. Another half goes to the freezer for non hunting season. When I get a couple of deer in a week, They go to my friends or coworkers. Thanks.
My custom F1 was made by JRE Industries. Anyway the real full tang F1 is a pretty heavy knife which should be compared to Bravo1, not to Gunny. Thanks.
@mccullenj Deer are so plentiful in Hokkaido that there is no need transport the entire carcass to thoroughly process it elsewhere. It seems that if you're only taking the backstraps, loins and head, it's quicker and easier to just work where the deer falls.
@fastcamo My ranking so far is BlackJack M125, Bark River Fox River, Fallkniven custom F1, Fallkniven TK2, Bark River rampless Gunny, Fallkniven Idun, Kellam Wolverine, Karesuando Elk, and so on. Helle are not very impressive for their sharpness and edge retention. The top five are very impressive knives. Thanks.
@docnightfall I like Fallkniven custom F1, TK2, NL5 of 4 inch blades. I have ever owned the H1. But its crescent edge curve, uselessly thick blade, and guardless handle were not my taste. Thanks.
I'm surprised your hunt videos don't get flagged, it seems like something many would see as inappropriate to see you killing a stag on camera. I don't mind it, I see it as the way of things, but sometimes it just takes that one person to ruin something for everyone.
@virtuovice Wako, you Fallknivens are getting a lot of video time lately. You seem to enjoy them a lot. I'm surprised you haven't acquired one of their "hunter's" knives-- H1, PHK or HK9.
These videos are disturbing, But if you eat meat from the store that is even more horrific than hunting. I think hunting is good. If i was hunting, I think I could not kill even if I was dying. I think buck knifes are great for skinning. buck knifes scare th heck out of me with their bowie style blade.
@happysplodie hunting is much more human that what the idiots who hate it and eat factory farmed food understand, i want to start hunting but i dont know where to start i just moved to canada :(
I have never applied oil or such to a leather handle. Just wash and dry. Fallkniven's leather is tightly stacked and its surface is exceptionally smooth. You will need to wait for long until you have it rough enough for better traction.
I recently purchased the NL5L CoS Idun. It is something special.

That's the most beautiful aged bamboo I've ever seen. Very dark. Like wood. Gorgeous.
Idun is a sweety too. Good to see you give it some use.
Sika deer , native in Ireland now I am delighted to say , this one is beautiful!

Very nice stag! Beautiful scenery and beautiful animal!
Thanks for the video!! I get so happy when I see a new video from you. By the way I just got a new F1 in 3G. I can't wait
I wish these videos were in much higher resolution with such nice scenery, I do however understand given it was uploaded in 2011 lol.
NL5 IDUN is better hunting knife in my opinion - great video!

@CryoQuench No, I haven't. I like 4 inch blade for the field deer dressing. Thanks.
@mccullenj I like Bamboo handles very much. It is obviously a natural material, and light and tough. Thanks.

How are you liking the Fallkniven TK2 so far? How do you rank it in your top hunting knives?
Good hunt!

Great video!!
great video

@IKSDoomie On Hokkaido island Japan. There are lots of deer for few hunters. Thanks.
Custom F1 is shipping to me. BRKT blue/black G-10 handle scales. VG-10 steel. Thoughts? I love BRKTs A2. Hmm

Did you rework the Idun edge like the f1
How do you remove micro bevel on the fallkniven idun. Please let me know asap
Dean Nesimi Using sandpapers from 150 to 1500 grit is the easiest.
@CryoQuench No. I like deer hunting in Japan. Perhaps I will like Japanese nature best in the world for I am a genuine Japanese. Thanks.
What are you using on the leather handle?
I left all of my leather handle knives. Anyway I didn't use anything to them. Thanks.
@CryoQuench I have viewed numerous videos of gruesome decapitations. The body moves all the time during.
how the fuck did you mess up your second shot??
How do you eat all that meat????
@happysplodie hunting is much more human that what the idiots who hate it and eat factory farmed food understand, i want to start hunting but i dont know where to start i just moved to canada :(
LOL!
@DrWrongPaul That's not really appropriate.
How do you care for your leather handles?
I have never applied oil or such to a leather handle. Just wash and dry. Fallkniven's leather is tightly stacked and its surface is exceptionally smooth. You will need to wait for long until you have it rough enough for better traction.
Terrible!!! Why you cut Filetto in two part?!!!😭😭😭
@happysplodie oops posted on my gf account....
Go learn how to cut
