- Stadion Sankt Petersburg, better known as Zenit Arena, is the second largest stadium in Russia, right after Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. It is distinguished by original architecture, adapted to the harsh climate of northern Europe.
Its origins date back to 2004, when the stadium planning process began. The construction works took over 10 years and the concept of the final look changed several times.
Zenit Arena is the venue for the Champions League final this season, although the name Gazprom Arena is used in this prestigious competition. The stadium hosted matches of the last two major international tournaments, the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020.
