Like you said, Stanely came immediately when his brother asked for his help, despite the tension. When Ford went through the portal, he dedicated 30 years of his life to bringing him back. He also showed how much he cared for Mabel and Dipper, trying to protect them from the weirdness of Gravity Falls. He sacrifice at the end proved so. What a well written character👏
