I spent so much time in this mall running around as a kid. It had stores everywhere and Santa, lol. I am 50 now and I still have dreams about hereford

I loved the old mall, it reminded me of one we used to go to when I was a kid

Same here dude. The Greeley Mall is still up and looks just as abandoned.

Yes my old stomping grounds, and I still consider it home! We have no more mall sadly. The Feedlots are horrible! But we like to think that's the smell of money! So sorry about the smell! Strange you don't smell it in town unless it rains!

The wind was blowing it into town on this night. It was rough smelling. I was wondering about if it always smelled this way or if it depended on the winds

@@TheInsaneChef It's strange but you don't smell it in my part of town. But it depends on the winds and if we get a heavy rain. I would rather be in my birth state of Oklahoma, if I had a choice.

The one at the mall #60 was a Gattis Shoe Store. The mall was built & opened in the 60’s.

If you want to know about any of the other stores I can tell you what they were as I grew up in Hereford from 1954 to 1977 when I graduated from WTSU in Canyon & moved to Lubbock. I was at the Sugarland Mall the day it opened as they had a helicopter fly over with a big ping pong drop, it was approximately 1966 or 67 (sorry cannot remember exact date except was in the 1960’s).

I lived there until I was 10. I asked my dad when I was 5 what the smell was and he said "honey, that is the smell of money".

No idea why this video showed up in my feed today lol. I grew up in Hereford and lived there 18 years... I don't miss it. Also Hunans is garbage so y'all dodged a bullet with that one 😂
You unfortunately get used to the smell... the old ranchers used to say "smells like money" lol
