I would rinse out the projects you stamped with to avoid damage to them. I spilled bleach on some clothes one time when I very young and I did not tell my Mom what had happened. Of course the fabric was ruined. Bleach is corrosive and I would also wear gloves. All that said I spilt a lot of bleach and then, not knowing about it, I didn’t think to rinse it out. I had seen my Mom use it in the wash so I guess I thought it would not hurt the clothes. I love what you have done with these prints. They are really beautiful. It is a fun technique even just watching the different chemical reactions you get. Thanks for sharing.
I'm always a bit gun-shy with bleach (I've ruined so many clothes!), but you've got me itching to go through my stash to find dark papers to try this. GAH! It's awesome. Thanks for sharing so much inspiration. I really needed it.
Thank you so much! This was wonderful to watch and now I can't wait to try this. Will be sharing the link with a group I've traveled with and we make journal pages. Again, thanks!
Oh Aimee, wonderful ideas,I just want you to know I love your videos you are so inspiring, keep giving joy...you are an amazing artist,I have been buying loads of erasers lol to carve too, thank you for making my day,by sharing your art, blessings and hugs, Gabrielle in the UK xx
I know I’m late to this but I loved seeing it. I had a question about the bleach. Bleach is a caustic material. Do you have to do anything to stop it’s reaction with the paper? Like does it eat into the paper? When you use it on fabric you’re supposed to rinse it really well so it doesn’t eat the fabric. How are you neutralizing?
What a great way to use those hand-carved stamps, and I love the lace look too! I remember doing this many years ago too, but my style has changed and I can see how this can fit in with my current style! Thanks a lot for sharing!! Now I'm going to dig through my laces!!
I used all kinds of dark paper and I use bleach and I used rubber stamps and it did not work what type of paper did you use what kind of bleach did you use
Aimee, this is such a cool technique. We loved it so much that we featured it in our blog post on Stamping Projects. Thanks for contributing!
Very fun, love the process. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.
A bleach spray bottle with stencils is cool too.
I have more rubber stamps than a dog has fleas. Thanks for giving me some new ideas!
❤TFS! I've never seen this technique! I love it so much!
I love listening to you, can't wait to try this technique.
Excited to try this with paper! Used to be very involved with dyeing and discharging fabric but now I’m into paper arts! Thanks for inspiring me!
As teenagers, in art class, we made stamps out of linoleum tiles that we carved.
Great images. Thank you.
Wow love this your ideas are just awesome 🤩

Brilliant I’ve done this recently with teabags and yes I remember doing it first time round lol. Tfs x
Oh tea bags!! Did the tea bleach? That sounds intriguing.

Beautiful technique! I love how it is so simple. TFS!
I am heading down to my craftroom to try this...how inspiring! ❤️🇨🇦🥴
Woohoo! Hope you had fun!
Do you know if you can use that technique with cling and or foam stamps....julie nutting style? Great technique, thanks for sharing.
What will happen if you glaze over these or paint over these when they are dry?
How to stop the bleach from continuing to eat through the paper
Woundering when you do this can you use other mediames over such as jesso ect because of the bkeach ?
Yes I have done all of those things with success. I think it depends on the type of paper you use. Some are more delicate than others.
I used all kinds of dark paper and I use bleach and I used rubber stamps and it did not work what type of paper did you use what kind of bleach did you use
I’d be afraid the bleach would eat away at the paper or cloth over time.
