Believe it or not…the first COD released on PC first then went to console. One of my buddies told me that years ago and I didn’t believe him…so I read up, and sure enough. I’m not sure why they did that…even then it was tuned more for a controller input than M&k. And I don’t know anyone who plays the current games on anything but a controller. I tell you what man…your map sense is damn good….and it’s so nice seeing you get some of that 2019 movement back.

But yeah I've been a controller and console player all my life, recently stopped using controller on pc and switched entirely to mouse and keyboard, it's a struggle but I'm gradually improving. Hardest part so far is tracking and managing recoil by pulling the mouse down gradually lol. Also occasionally fumbling my reload and grenade keys, accidentally got a kill because I pressed my grenade key by accident when I meant to reload, the grenade bounced off a pillar in front of me, rolled behind me and killed a player that was trying to pull an execution lol.
Yeah idk if you have heard about this but using high dpi on your mouse and low sensitivity in game can help aiming feel more smooth. It's up to personal preference but it definitely made aiming feel better for me at least. Would also help if I used aim trainers like aimlabs lol would practice tracking techniques I recently found for MW2 using private match and bots but I unfortunately encountered the FR Avancer bug which causes private matches to be unplayable. Basically don't switch the receiver on the FR Avancer in MW2, the other receiver is from MW3 but is available to select in MW2 even though it isn't supposed to be there. Can't even edit the loadout in private match without it sending me back to main menu.@@Will_b83

I could be mistaken, but the only console FPS game that I knew of to be competitive back then was Halo... Anyways, my comment was in response to that. As far as the console/PC debate. You’re 110% correct. As well as a top end PC can cost several thousands of dollars to do what a series X or PS5 can do gameplay wise. If you aren’t a using the PC for anything but gaming it’s more cost efficient to just buy the newest console instead of having to keep upgrading your PC 🤷🏻♂️

Not how that works, for that approach you want to switch to m&k, analog sticks don't have precise enough movements for fps games, that's why aim assist was created like over twenty years ago. The only thing that'll happen is your previous muscle memory for the game will disappear. What I'd recommend is researching uniform aiming and trying to recreate that in your cod settings, then you can be good everywhere. Best of luck chief
@@itsanalaskanbullworm2937 There exists a concept known as left stick aiming. Having played Call of Duty for a long time, the absence of aim assist doesn't make a significant difference in my experience. There is precision aiming on controller without aim assist you just need to get good.

Cod originally started out on PC and even when they did make Console versions for the game the PC versions were still decently optimized. It wasn't until MW2 (2009) that they unofficially made the transition to mostly console and did not attempt to get back into the PC crowd around the release of BO4. Also I don't know if you were just referring Cod specifically but I think even you know that there were already popular FPS games before and still currently on PC before COD. Sorry for the random ass tirade I just heard that one statement and just had to comment about this. Not trying to dunk on you Punch hope this year treats you well.
