@lazyotaku2021 Helping people get their favorite games from their shelves go their tables is maybe the best thing I can hope to do with this channel-love it! Thanks for joining me!
The best part about the Anachrony content is the fact Anachrony is the only game I asked for for Christmas. I have all the content minus Futures Imperfect. This couldn't have come at a better time as the game is currently on my table as I type this
@HeaterCalhoun44 You went big for Christmas and frankly you made a great choice! Glad our schedules aligned haha I have so much fun playing this game, and it really works well both solo and multiplayer. Top tier game for me! Future Imperfect adds some cool modules (which I'll show you in the coming months!) but they are by no means necessary to enjoy this game. And honestly at first less is more with Anachrony. The number of mix-and-match modules can be a bit overwhelming before you get your bearings, so there's no rush to start adding things in. One critical caveat though--the Fractures of Time expansion adds the Chronossus for solo mode, which is a requirement for me. Everything else in the Fractures of Time box is awesome too, but I'd advise not adding it in until after your first few games.
@stevegeorge7773 Thanks! I put a fair amount of content on BGG, but I try not to put more than one playthrough per game (I don't want to annoy people). I'll likely post some of these Anachrony videos on BGG after I'm done shooting them so I can pick whichever comes out the best (might put one on the Future Imperfect page, one on the Fractures of Time page, etc, wherever they are relevant).
@BOushh-ue6st There are a few items I know I'd like to have (the ones I called out in the video: draw bags and token for the Chronossus for energy cores and flux cores, and score dials for the end). But what would you (or others!) like to see? Overall I really love the Anachrony components but we're always open to ideas!
Faction boxes similar to what you made for Voidfall would be great. Base hold the exosuit minis, warp tokens, free action tokens, etc. Lid would have a space to hold the leader and have wells/slots for tokens and resources during gameplay. A labeled tray for the different types of research tiles could be nice.
1. I am worried that you crushed bot with such a diferrence of points. Is it always so easy? 2. What about evacuation of bot? Is there an option that he can evacuate? What are conditions? Reason that I ask is that you scored 20 points and bot 0 which is kind of unfair? 3. Neutronide buildings give supernatural bonuses. Don't you feel that bot strenght is lower when player uses is as bot do not take advantage of buildings powers?
@mariuszkania9947 Great questions! I have some answers that I think you'll find reassuring: 1 - (Is it always so easy?) No! Haha. This was a very unusual score for me and part of the reason I was excited at the end =) There are a number of ways to increase the difficulty against the bot and I will be sure to talk about them the next time I play Anachrony. I have two previous Anachrony solo playthrough on this channel; one against Chronossus again, and the other against the other AI opponent, the Chronobot. I lost both games--scores and links here: Chronossus: 57 to 44 th-cam.com/video/pyGLrid-0Ak/w-d-xo.html Chronobot: 73 to 53 th-cam.com/video/vL0Xh5vBguQ/w-d-xo.html 2 - (What about evacuation of bot?) The bot never evacuates. It may have seemed unfair in this playthrough because I had such a strong lead, but as described above, the bot typically beats me anyway. 3 - (Neutronide buildings give supernatural bonuses.) This gave me a big boost this game! I was specifically trying to demonstrate the Neutronide Buildings in this playthrough, so (as mentioned in the video) I made sure they were each in the top half of their respective stacks. Normally (and going forward on my playthroughs) they will be shuffled normally into their stacks, so it's unlikely I will get such powerful combos, and sometimes I won't even see some of these buildings. That being said, sure, the bot would score better if it could use its buildings' abilities, but on the other hand it doesn't have to buy them with resources or put workers in their suits or have water to pay for actions, so I think it balances out.
The narrator played solid game and earned an excellent score. That being written, the Chronossus was set up in one its easier settings. There are several methods to increase the "skill" of Chronossus. When the difficulty gets turned up to 11, it takes a wee bit of luck for a highly skilled player to defeat. Those modifiers allow the bot to score higher because it plays better. They also cause you to score lower because the bot plays better.😉
Agreed with above!💯! I often play on lower difficulty settings in general, and especially when I'm recording, so you'll notice this across my channel. If my Anachrony playthroughs continue to be blowout victories I'll turn up the difficulty, but mostly I'm just aiming to demonstrate the systems and do a little thinking aloud to help people comprehend the basic decision spaces. And sometimes I still lose anyway! =)
@albinoorkalbertson Alright, I'll take you up on your offer, I have an Anachrony question that I couldn't find an answer for! Please see 1:00:50. Alternate timeline would allow me to double 1 of my 2 selected Warp tokens in this case. I considered placing my Exosuit Warp token on that space, but I only had 1 available exosuit slot. I would not have exceeded 6 exosuits, but are you allowed to exceed your post-impact slots? I assumed this was not allowed so I did not take this bonus, but I was certainly considering it. Thanks in advance!
I'm one of the editors of the Anachrony rulebooks and can answer this question. : ) The Hex Unavailable tiles only prevent you from placing and powering up Exosuits in those slots in Phase 3 (page 20 of the Infinity rulebook); ergo, you can definitely warp in an additional (already-powered-up) Exosuit in Phase 4. Cheers!
This is one of my favorite games. Thanks for helping me get it back to the table. Keep up the great work.

This is fantastic! I’d really suggest popping these on the BGG game video page. I recon you’ll get a bit of attention.

Please let this be a sign of BrainBucketGames accessories coming soon for Anachrony!

@BOushh-ue6st That'd be a tough one but we'll at least take a look and see if we think we could pull it off =)

@EmanuelaleunamE Perfect, thank you so much, both for the answer and for your part in bringing this amazing game to life! 😆
