2017 was my first egg hunt and it was certainly a magical experience, the numerous worlds and various mini games to get eggs kept me engaged in the game for a week straight. 2018 absolutely blew my mind with the story as well as the environments, these games encouraged me to search up and play remakes of original egg hunts and it honestly surprised me to see how far egg hunts had come from a simple map with numerous eggs hidden everywhere to more detailed, large maps with numerous mini games and locations to hunt for eggs. It genuinely upsets me how the dropped the ball with 2019 egghunt, I did play a good majority of this event but aside from a handful of games (like natural disaster survival) I did not enjoy the event, the backpack egg stands out to me because I spent like 2 hours just trying to get it, I can't imagine how awful the other eggs I skipped would've been to try and actually get. The main hub eggs weren't much better either, the mission eggs were buggy and the boss battle was lackluster and also buggy where I had to restart twice because of the dumb telekinesis. It was safe to say I didn't even bother with 2020 egg hunt. It's a shame Roblox killed egghunt with dev hunts no one wanted, I'm upset that new Roblox players won't be able to experience the magic of their first egghunt probably ever again
You can still play the 2018 egghunt however you wont get the eggs on your avatar though :/
I always missed the egg hunts because of some family event where I couldn't play roblox, but 2020 was my first. Since it was my first and only, I can say 2020 is the best in my opinion. I really like the 2020 eggs.

Egg hunts used to be the one thing that brought me back to Roblox. As they declined in their final years, I was very disappointed. Now, I miss them and they were a very fun part of my pre-teen years.

I’ve been playing Roblox since 2009, and the Egg Hunts were always something I looked forward to on a yearly basis. Even if I quit roblox for a while, I’d come back for the hunts.
2013 was such an amazing year because it was just about the eggs. Every egg was unique and had a fun little gimmick. And I personally adored the fact that they hatched (though now I see how that’s annoying).
I’ll never forget how few eggs I got in the 2014 hunt, and the GG NO RE title the game ended with. It was frustrating, but kind of funny.
Nothing captured the real magic of egg hunts until 2017, which felt like it was made with genuine love and care. It had a clear understanding of what a good egg hunt was, and though I still liked 2013 better, it was a very solid second.
Unfortunately I didn’t really play the 2018 one, but I’m glad Roblox at least had one more good hunt before it all went downhill.

I remembered being really excited for when egg hunt time came around, but I honestly just forget they existed nowadays. 2017 & 2018 were so fun, as they were my first two, I would do anything again to experience the joy I had when playing those. Along with the events that happened in those years too, since events nowadays are just boring.
2018-2020 was my best egg hunts since I joined in 2018
Though I was never there for the egg hunts, what other people have told me and shown me about them just makes it depressing for even people who have never played them miss them. Roblox shouldn't have ended them, I would've loved to try one for myself.

I was there for the 2017 and 2018 egg hunts. Sure I didn't find that many eggs, but it was honestly incredible. I personally liked the 2017 egg hunt more.

Actually, I think you can still play the 2017 and 2018 egg hunts, but you can't really get the eggs anymore.
My favorite was 2020 (probably because it's the only one I completed with special dev eggs included) and I don't think any were as bad as people say, I really liked the 2019 gravity hub thing, and I only played half of the 2018 one. Metaverse champions kinda depressed me because I really wanted eggs and not boxes, but there was literally not a single reason to cancel spring hunts.
i got every egg in 2020 and maybe completed around half of 2019 and goddamn it was awful and annoying. egg hunts were way better than dev hunts.

2017-2018 hit so damn different in a good way. Never got to experience those below but I'm so happy I got to be on for those two at least because they were just honestly entirely fun, to come home each day from school and be so hyped to spend some time looking in another world for some eggs was such a thrill. like everyone once 2019 dropped it was like punching the hype and younger me in the gut. straight up what the hell is this energy, STRONG energy. Once we got to 2020 and it basically repeated 2019, I sadly just lost hope at that point as I was clearly jumping to saying "Well this is our egg hunts now" never would have expected it to then entirely wither following since I don't consider the metaverse thing an egg hunt. no way. that was a whole like separate thing to be honest. Miss the hunts.
my first egg hunt was the 2015 one, and it seemed so boring, but the 2016 egg hunt is probably my favorite. it was the one that basically introduced me to how magical an egg hunt can be, and yes the map was small and not that detailed, but it had some of the best eggs (imo) and the gameplay was really fun. 2016 > 2018 > 2017 > 2019 > 2015 > 2020

Honestly, the egg hunt 2018 just made my summer back when I was younger...And don't forget that the Ready Player One event was connected to it with the Pathfinder wings as a reward, making it one of the best obtainable item. Good times..

my best gaming experience on Roblox, I was far too dedicated in that event. Me & my was the first to find one of the clues in the egg hunt, but ultimately we wanted the dominus the dominus was the real prize. That lava obby and quiz at the end was very decisive it wasn’t just about speed and obby skills but you also had to already be a Roblox nerd before this event because the impossible quiz had a time limit so u couldn’t google anything and the quiz changed every time. After finally beating the quiz after trying for like an hour I finally got the office of creators and wings of the pathfinder minutes after the dominus was already claimed I couldn’t have asked for more from this event. Truly exceptional

My most fond memories on roblox were egg hunts. The 2017 one was the best for me. I still even come back to the game to this day, for some nostalgia. Roblox getting rid of egg hunts and promoting rthro and the metaverse is probably just for more cash. Why can't roblox actually do something good for once?

R.I.P Egg Hunts 2008-2020. You will be incredibly missed by the community. At least the only thing we have nowadays are fan community-made egg hunts like how we had last year with Egg Hunt 2022: Lost in Time, though it doesn’t feel the same with having the eggs on your avatar, but it’s something.

We REALLY NEED someone to make community egg hunt. I don't think it would be impossible to make wearable eggs considering RB Battles has wearable items. Also love the music names in the corner whenever a new song plays!
I joined in 2018, but for some reason I didn't do the egg hunt in that year. Playing EG2018 now, I regret not playing the EG back then.

Man, I've been playing Roblox since January 2015. My first Egg Hunt was the 2015 one, although I only get one single egg (I was still too confused and new to Roblox at the time). Egg Hunts were no doubt the best events Roblox ever held. Every April I'd get excited, knowing the Egg Hunt was just around the corner. I remember going over to my friends house during spring break and doing the Egg Hunts with them. Even the most recent ones were fun to me, I mean they were better than nothing. I really, really hope Roblox eventually sees what a massive impact cancelling these very special events has done to the community and maybe one day will host one again, but it's hard to say that will ever happen.

Out of the 3 egg hunts I did (2018,2019,2020) 2019 is still my favorite simply because I found the concept of discovering games really fun (even tho some of the quests were quite painful to complete)
this so called “metaverse” is nowhere close to the egg hunts back then. R.I.P 🥚
Personally, I only participated in the 2020 egg hunt as my account was made in late 2019, and I really enjoyed it. Some games felt like tasks but completing multiple mini games along with my friends was probably one of the best memories throughout my Roblox play history. Although the spy theme wasn't really present, the quality of the games which we had to play really carried the experience and thus, after looking at past egg hunts my opinion still remains that 2020 wasn't so bad as people make it out to be. (On top of that some of the 2020 eggs are now limited, making it easy to get extra robux without having to pay.)

I wish I played the egg hunts more because I joined Roblox in 2012 and started playing egg hunts in 2015 and all the rest from there. Especially the 2013 egg hunt; I heard many great things from it.
The considerate lack of people that wear Egg Hunt accessories really shows that not many people will remember the events that helped gather the community and turn it into something to be excited about.
I joined in 2016 before my brother had to make another account for me in late 2017 because I forgot how to login to the previous one. 2018 was the only real Egg Hunt I ever got to explore and play.
I really do miss these events and I fear it's unlikely they'll ever return.
I currently have a collection of allot of eggs in my inventory...and they will represent the joyful memories from back then..
I miss them so much. My first one was 2013 and I couldn't wait to play another one. I haven't played 2014 one but 2015 and onwards. It was one of the best times in Roblox and the only thing that kept me playing the game. So sad we won't see another one...

Egg hunts were truly the best part of Roblox. People were all wondering what would the next Egg-Hunt be themed around. I joined in 2017 and Egg-Hunt 2017 was my first Roblox Egg-Hunt. I didn't get much eggs. But it was still fun. I just wish we could have egg-hunts again, But it might not happen.

I could tell you the entire storyline of Egg Hunt 2018, but I forgot that 2019 had a story to go along with it. I remember a bunch of Marvel eggs and 2 eggs that I did not get. 2018 was the best egg hunt, and I doubt 2024 will be better.

i absolutely loved 2017, as it was the first egg hunt i had actually experienced, but it seemed to all get worse after 2018. im super sad that they completely stopped doing egg hunts because that was my favorite time of year because of them. i dont understand why roblox opted to do dev hunts when it was hated by almost everyone for the last 2 years and then end it for no reason. they could build great things similar to the 2018 egg hunt with all of the new roblox studio tools and how much roblox has improved.

Roblox becoming a public company basically destroyed the site because investors think egg hunts are too repetitive and want change. They only care for financial gain and not the actual player base. I don't know what the fuck they're smoking, but when you have an event that is widely considered the best event on Roblox and attracts a bunch of players every year, why would you stop it? 2017 was my first ever egg hunt after joining sometime during late 2016, but ill never forget the memories and friends i made during the 2018 one. I remember having a short friends group that was formed off that egg hunt and we were having so much fun looking for eggs and after it ended, we still played other games together :( i wonder where they are now

The best egg Hunt (in my opinion) was 2017, my favorite game in it was the seal one, It would be great for me to play it again. The egg that I remember wanting but I never got was the answer egg (42 egg)
I really only started playing after the end of the Egg Hunts, but I did play during the Metaverse Champians event. Honestly, I really enjoyed that event and wouldn't mind them pulling a similar event again. (oh, wait, this is Roblox)

my first egg hunt was 2017 and i loved the idea of it and immediately fell in love with egg hunts. 2018 was next and it was the best it can get, the mechanics were absolutely awesome and the details were so tiny but noticeable. 2019..... i barely played egg hunt 2019, the dev hunt idea was new to me and i found it too boring. 2020 was uhhh yeah a dev hunt but its the only one i finished and that is most likely because i had time, it was boring but i got through it. 2021 egg h- i mean metaverse champions well it wasnt too bad considering the amount of games (im a perfectionist and completionist), some were boring but overall it was fun, i did stop when week 2 started because i didnt finish week 1 (i thought i could go back to it)
The first Egg Hunt I played was 2015, so that kickstarted my love for Egg Hunts, But in their final years (2019 and 2020) was very bad compared to the prior 2 years, (2017 and 2018)
I'm literally sad because those days are over just because of 2020, Egg Hunt 2020 has to be my least favorite ROBLOX event of all time, so seeing this thing just drop just makes me so sad, and it didn't help it was all Egg Hunt 2020's fault.

I have participated in all the "hunts" since 2017, the year I joined Roblox. Sadly, I did not get most eggs in 2018 due to "performance" issues. In the 2019 and 2020 egg hunts, I still got a lot of eggs, and did notice the change in the quality but kept pushing on. The time the egg hunt turned into "Metaverse Champions" is when I stopped participating, mostly until I saw an announcement that there was a hidden egg. That was the only motivation to push on the hunt again. Today, I miss the egg hunt, especially the 2017 egg hunt. I wish I could have joined in the 2018 hunt too.
Egg hunts on Roblox are the most favorite event for me, while the second most favorite is the summer events (Summer games, summer tournament, etc.)
Egg Hunt 2017 is the one that I have enjoyed the most.

I first participated in egg hunt 2020 as my account was just created in 2019. egg hunt 2020 introduced me to many games, like tds, break in, and others. it was really nice to get introduced to these game and collect some eggs.

Some of the games were fun but alot of it was terrible in particular royale high flop and the unplayable games on certain devices, lack of a central hub was a shame too
2018 was soooooo good I stayed up late waiting for it to drop ended up falling asleep but the next day after school got on discord with a friend and played it all
Roblox every day ruins everything that we use or like and their favoritism has gone way to far. And let's not forget how garbage Roblox moderation is and they're now banning youtubers once again for the exact same reason: having YT in your username that directs a platform off-site when in reality Roblox has a TH-cam channel there.

it sounds dumb but roblox was a HUGE part of my childhood ever since 2011, i would literally look forward for holidays like christmas, halloween, easter, etc just for the roblox events. i miss being excited for holidays

I regret not participating in 2018 egg hunt. I was on the platform at the time but never got to playing it more than a little bit. The only egg hunts I did were 2019 and 2020, I completed 2020 and got the fabergegg and had some good memories from that but from what it sounds like it didn't even remotely compare to the 2018 one.

2016 was my FIRST EVER egg hunt and honestly im so glad dude, I remember going to the lirary to play it on the computers man.. Best egghunt imo! Mostly for the nostalgia lol

2016 - 2018 egg hunts were really fun but from their own weird reasons to change it for the "the metaverse" that's when it truly fell off. It doesn't feel the same anymore

I joined Roblox around 2017, but didn't really cared about the events. Yet, i participated in Egg Hunt 2018 and it was incredible. The storyline and the eggs' creativity was stunning ! The 2019th egg hunt was neat too, even though devs couldn't put much effort in a short amount of time. I've got only 4 eggs from here (i'm wearing one, which is Egg of Gravitation). Others were quite difficult and buggy to get. And the 2020 is when the egg hunts died quickly. It's sad to see how the egg hunts went from awesome to atrociously horrible in terms of effort and gameplay. :(
