I'm getting some great ideas from you. I really appreciate that you share your prices. A lot of people don't, and pricing is something a lot of us struggle with. Thanks!
Hi Amber. I have so enjoyed watching your videos and the wonderful ideas that you have. I am planning on making some of these ideas for our Christmas Church Fair. One of the things that I like most is that your packaging ideas are so pleasing to the eye. Great job. Keep posting.
LOVE all your videos, efforts, TIME, and kindness for always SHARING! AND I LOVE how you always TRY to put a picture of the measurements on the screen! VERY helpful to me. Happy selling & God's Blessings to you & your loved ones.
I have been watching your videos for well over a year! One of my fav crafters! I LOVE this idea too! I have to check to see if I need a special food license but will try to make these for my show in December!
Hi Amber. Love your videos. Can you post the name of the bags again and size? I keep looking online at Joann fabric...haven't found yet. in a small town with No fabric stores. Thanks.
Thank you for this tutorial Amber! I will do this for Christmas treats! This way I can used up my Christmas paper scraps! Love love this!! Hugs, Elaine
wow how awesome is that! do you have any kind of sign that tells your customers whats inside? if someone walked up to your booth how would they know it's candy inside?
Can you specify the name of the photo sleeves product and size. I don't have a Jo-Ann here and can't identify the brand or actually what they are called in the video. Thanks
I’ve been binge watching your videos all night. You have great ideas and creative talent! I’m curious as to how you are making any money at your shows? I thought you mentioned the chocolate was about 2 bucks, then you put in all of the extra material and the labor and only sell them for $3 or 2 for $5? Is this your promotional item to get people to your booth? I do craft fairs for an entirely different type of craft and I am just scratching my head at the prices. It doesn’t look like you purchase much at wholesale. Can you share your business model? Do you just break even or do you make enough money to subsidize your regular income? You are so talented.
Don't know if this helps but based on comments and info in her videos is, the pricing depends on where she sells. Higher income locations vs lower income locations determines her prices as with other craft fair creators who said this as well. There was something I read that she got some craft supplies in Mill Valley, CA which can be assumed that's the area of where she lives but she could also just be visiting. You know what they say about "assuming". I've wondered the same thing as you have and have the same questions as far as profit. Walmart doesn't always have the best prices for the chocolates or any other supplies. I started buying things now to sell at Xmas and that stuff is upwards of 90% off. If she's unable to answer I'm hoping others will share what they've experienced but so far there's been no responses. I believe she's doing higher priced items to see how they sell but take longer to make. Some people just do craft fairs for fun and just break even while others supplement their income. She has some really cute ideas (more like all of them) and going to give them a try in the fall to see how it goes. Retiring this year and trying to find ideas to supplement our income. Another thought...lots of people get paid by doing the video's on TH-cam and giving links on where to buy on Amazon or elsewhere where they get supplies. They get kickbacks from Amazon when people click on the links provided by the YTer's. If you become what's called an "Influencer" at Amazon, you really get big bucks. There's a lot I don't know only because I'm not interested in doing video's but if I had a specific talent I'd consider it...but I don't or not one that people would be interested in. I only wish I had become a crafter decades ago... good luck Tammy and hope you find this helpful.
so easy so simple but I didn't think of it. ha! you both are so clever! thank you for all the ideas, I am using a lot of them in my next. craft fair. I am planning a trip to see you Nov 12!
Great idea! Where did you get the big roll of twine like that? I need some and that would be perfect. I love your craft fair series. You always have great ideas!
Sooooo cute! I've made these at Halloween with midgies. These are kind of hard to price to make a profit because chocolate is pricey. How much profit did you make at the craft fair?
Thanks for watching, Tina. I think we priced these at $3 of $4 per pack. I mentioned in the video...I can't remember at the moment! Thanks again! :) Amber
O my goodness!...Well they say great minds think alike...LOL I just did some of these almost exactly the same except mine were in packs of 4 for my crafy fair this weekend. Also...i bought some of those giant halloween candy bags from walmart and boght some lil spider rings and some pencils & erasers and used all that to make up some $3 grab bags for the kids...they turned out really cute. Hugs, Connie~
Love your videos. Thanks for sharing your genius with us. I haven't been able to find much in the way of twine and you didn't say where you find yours. Any help there would be appreciated.
Driscilla Kulm Hi Driscilla! It's actually yarn that looks like twine, which is awesome because you get so much on the spool and I found it at Joann Fabrics. :) Thanks for watching! xo Amber
If you pay $1.96 for 8 bars, do all the work & only charge $3 or $2 for $5, you aren't covering supplies! Bags, adhesive, paper , & bakers twine. Great projects but I'm not going to work for free or in the hole. Will cut amt of candy by half or raise pricing. Even though I'm using scrsps, I DID pay for the supplies originally. Thx for posting.
Sorry 2 packs for $5. Maybe I'm missing something, but understood candy was $1.96. If you sell for $2.50, this won't cover plastic sleeves, candy, & adhesive. Am I getting something wrong? If not, no wonder they are great sellers. It's almost cost, but beautifully decorated.
I was wondering if any money could be made at that price point also...? With the cost of the bars, bags, paper, twine and tag. Would like to see a cost breakdown, although I could see this making a few cents but a good way to draw attention to the other things being sold. Really curios!
scrapadoodle04 Thanks for watching! My sister and I have been talking about it and we might end up charging $4 instead. It makes more sense and there's more chocolate than my Hershey nugget packs, which have 7 little bars. Thanks again for watching! :) Amber
At this pricong, they are almost losing money depending upon cost of plastic sleeves. I'm going to try this but not at that pricing. Maybe do 4 bars at their price. I don't know. Have to figure it out. It's a cute idea. I love her videos. I'm just confused on this price. It doesn't make sense unless I misunderstood.
