🤔🤔 Fair warning. If you're serious about your Tech career, and want to level up in the tech world, then stay away from this event. It's lost its original purpose, and it's turned into nothing more than a hook up event/cookout. Most of the wmn who go aren't in tech and are looking for men(sponsors) that they would've turned down in high school and/or college 💯💯
I disagree. I have friends who got job offers and even I got leads myself although I wasn't looking for opportunities just networking. I just think it doesn't need to be in houston (austin was better) and I don't think it's appropriate for non tech individuals (or those with no intention to transition) to occupy our space.
@@sonderexpeditions You can disagree all day long but that doesn't mean that you're correct. When AfroTech first started it was actually a great event, it had a purpose, and people in tech got a lot of gems from it. It now turned into nothing more than an intellectual freaknik. They even have a "singles event" now, which doesn't have a thing to do with advancing one's tech career.
@terran6471 they don't have a singles event. You were not there lol. Someone hosted that last year and it was not Blavity but a partner event. Literally anybody can host "afrotech related events" doesn't mean it's official. Most events aren't. I'm not correct people I know got jobs? I saw 3 job offers last year but I'm not gon hold you. 🤷🏾♀️

If she doesn’t want you in her prime, don’t take her on her decline. 😂
Thanks for the heads up.
@@sleepysquirlz7715 Exactly. I'm glad more men of all races are catching on to that crap.
