Why don’t you have a handlebar mount and a helmet cam? Then you can combine the two nd not ride with one hand?

I’d be very wary to bike anywhere without a helmet! You never plan for an accident…. All those bicycles but only a few helmets to rent?
I always wear a helmet, my wife does not allow me to bike otherwise :-)

A lot worse places than Thailand for cycling. But yes it's not great cycling in Bangkok
