I have always wanted to know what this city looked like and now I do. I have never been, but from the looks of it, those who live here take a lot of pride in their small/medium-sized city as everything about it looks clean, neat, and orderly. Its location looks like "prime real estate," and it seems like one of those cities where you can get both the bustling city life as well as the suburban peaceful life just a half dozen blocks from one another. A total package. What's the cost of living like around these parts? How is the job market? How's the food? Are the people decent around this area? My curiosity has now peaked after seeing this video. I've got to know more!
I am glad this video made you curious. Would love to answer your questions, and I am curious about answers as well. I have been there only a few hours to film.
@@chrisbiela Oh I know, I'm part 107 certified myself. The class C airspace almost cuts the Riverfront in half so I had to request a LAANC. But I know cities will sometimes not allow takeoff or landing from their property so I was just trying to find city laws. From my understanding Illinois doesn't allow cities to make their own rules regarding drones unless with a waiver if you have a million or more people.
@@chrisbiela I remember a lot of well kept (mostly) houses & bldgs. University was a 4-lane road that went north from Main St by Bradley.Mt. Hawley Airport has 3 grass strip runways.
I am sorry to hear that. I do not have my own opinion. Been there only few hours on the way to St. Louis. Plus, pandemic times with empty streets were specific.
Ya right, one thing you fail to see that video was shot September of 2022 post pandemic it still looks like that today . When cat pulled G. O. Went to Deerfield illinois Peoria city council shit there pants. Now look where they are .
@@chrisbiela That's still post pandemic, this used to be a good place to live not any more taxes are high as hell sales tax is 10.25 % real estate tax is high roads are crap everybody is leaving due to that reason only to escape the taxation they have imposed on people, just to register your vehicle you pay 151 a year thats another reason people are leaving why would any body do what you did? There is nothing here never has been as far as I can remember. City Council closes Fire Houses claiming 'they don't have the money. @@chrisdickerson3786 I do appreciate your input here. Can't argue with that. The reason I came by is that people still live there. Riverwalk looks great, and I was curious. That's all.
Im moving there next month!
Congrats 👍
Next year I will be there
Cool. Have fun.
Don’t it’s not worth it

@@chrisbiela you are amazing, Chris, and the world needs you!
Do you have any info of drone laws in peoria county to have handy on me? Cant find them!
I fallow FAA restrictions.

@@Highaltitudepilot You shouldn't have any problems out there. As far as I am aware of.
Camera angle is always changing so you don't have time to observe anything.
You can always pause ⏸️. Drone footage is a birds eye view. In motion. My intention is to showcase a lot of areas from the city.
@chrisbiela pause means nothing. No, lack of perspective means it's meaningless. Got that?
I try to help. Find a solution. Nothing else. Not trying to be mean or disrespectful. That's all
Im from Peoria and I'm starting a eBay reselling channel. Can I have permission to use a few second shots for my intro?
In regards of the footage please contact bielachris@gmail.com
This city could really use more skyscrapers
Would be nice.
And buildings and people…downtown area is eerie…
I think the time which you can waste to stand against anathor people you can work and make utilized thing
Ok 👍
I hardly recognize anything. Last time there was 1979 for a visit. Lived there from 1960 thru 1968.
I wonder how it looked back then?

@@bobesposito7235 I am sure it changed massively since then. Would be cool to have a drone comparison from the past.
@@chrisbiela YES! Only back then, it would have been a helicopter ride.

Let me take the drone out for a trip and I’ll show you some shit
Let me know when you do. I am curious.
True for any city anywhere not just peoria
Went to Peoria this week for a visit, felt eerie….didn’t like the vibes

Oh, look no cars on the streets of downtown any idea why? it's because everybody has left this god forsaking state. Peoria = Pissoria
All cities looked like that in the pandemic. There's no difference here.

@chrisdickerson3786 Video was published in September 2022. Footage is probably from the spring, and I can't compare since it was my first visit.
