My Gurudeva Srila BV Narayana Gosvami Maharaja accepted Srila BV Swami Prabhupada as his siksha Guru because he is not sectarian and many non-sectarian disciples of Srila Prabhupada accepted Srila Gurudeva as siksha Guru. Sorry for many comments. Again I don’t mean to offend anyone
In Vrindavan, when his book was released, his female disciple, revealed to all of us (speaking on Vrindavan TV), she was the author! This female disciple was instructed to write this book by her guru. This "Juhu" book took her over 20 years to write and finished (but he got the credit). "Profit, Adoration, Distinction" typical of Iskcon gurus, many like him, living in a million dollar house with female disciples serving him, staying dressed as a Sannyasi, a "renounced person" 😭
Same some devotees is Iskcon did, that they went to SBVNGM and received so much knowledge and instructions and later on they took credit for that never mentioning His name, they read His books and they speak that in their lectures but not mentioning name.
Erm Giriraj and Tamal didn’t go to Srila Narayan Maharaj to get knowledge to take back to iskcon , they went to get siksa for themselves so they could advance more Unless one is on the highest level- one must still take the association of a higher vaishnav So they did, because they were not high gurus themselves They needed the higher association of Srila Narayan Maharaj The fear the gbc had was that if the iskcon gurus needed siksa themselves, that disqualifies them and as such , a serious devotee would see that and seek the association of the higher vaishnav themselves As a result, thousands did leave iskcon and take shelter of Srila Narayan Maharaj and the gbc made up all kinds of lies to try and make themselves look good and Srila Maharaj look bad If anyone thinks that SP and Srila Narayan Maharaj are in a different mood, then they simply don’t understand the siddhanta and have no realisation. Nor do they know the historical facts between the two exalted sadhus mentioned
Can somebody decide who is qualified to receive what knowledge better than a pure devotee? Did someone have to tell Prabhupada not to speak on certain topics because audience was not advanced enough?
His Gayness couldn't respond after that question ah.. oh..gee...for those who are not blind followers, here's the facts: Tamal wanted to be the next Acharya, after failing with the guru hoax, Narayana M. was his ticket in! His plan was to make N.M. the next Iskcon Acharya of Iskcon, that way, Tamil would be next in line, but they failed after GBC threatened them both, either be expelled or quit associating with N. M. The damage was done, Iskcon lost thousands of devotees to N.M.!
You’re also wrong and Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura is right: institution consciousness is the enemy of Bhakti. Devotees who go to other Gurus in line of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura are not lost! They are simply in another institution.
I almost left the talk when swami started to dispage M Gandhi and Paramahamsa Yogananda a genuine saint.. this sounds like a Prabhupad quote, calling Yogananda a shopkeeper. He tore down many saints ,in fact anyone on the advaita path or anyone not a vaishnava was almost despicable Andy worthless in his view and many of his swamis and devotees have adopted the same narrow minded and mean spirited talk even after 50 plus years. Every sincere spiritual aspirant will have different tendencies and be attracted to different paths and teachers. Evrytime someone puts down another I wonder if they may have to come back as a devotee on that path to recognize the value, only a small child say “ my mother is the smartest and most beautiful”, a mature adult knows each person has the perfect mother for them to learn the best life lessons from and they realize they may think their mother is he best at the same time knowing each other also feels that way about their mother..
My dear Radhika. There are vast differences between advaita philosophy and achintya beddha-beddha has taught by Lord Chaitanya.. The path of jyana is different from the path of bhakti. A devotee of Krsna knows that He is the ultimate authority and nowhere in Bhagavad-Gita does He say that every path is equal. The devotee's primary inspiration is the reciprocation of love between himself - or herself - and the guru. Of course, there is risk of fanaticism on every path, especially in the beginning, and maturity also means being able to discriminate the philosophical differences between the different paths. My understanding was that Giriraj Swami was quoting a woman who spoke to him on his very first visit to the temple. As with any path, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. The amount of love demonstrated by the devotees of Srila Prabhupada, and their determination in fulfilling his mission is the ultimate litmus test. Hare Krsna 🙏
