I recommend you to check out his nosleep series called "The man in my basement takes one step closer every week" Just like this book, it is a fantastic and unpredictable read
Hi there...I'm new to your channel and appreciate this spoiler free book review. Some people's book reviews are far too long in length and I appreciate your getting right to the point. You have a new follower! I started reading listening to this audio a couple of days ago. For me, it was a little slower of a start than I thought it would be, but I think that was part of the suspence. I'm really enjoying this. Marcus Kliewer's writing style makes for a very easy follow. Thank you for a lovely book review.
Hello Jaimee, I have just started reading and am collecting clues as I go. I am so excited to hear how much you liked this book. I am not a horror book reader, but the excitement around this book had me giving in. Thank you so much for sharing your review! Elizabeth
Hi Jamie. I’ve just started this on me kindle, at 99p I couldn’t refuse as I love haunted house novels. May I recommend Secret of Crickley Hall as it’s my favourite of those 😎👍🏻 New Sub❤️
Spoilers, don't read if you haven't read the book already I have listened to a podcast with the author who said the truth is in the names What if Eve is really Emma and everything is just her delusion because she suffers from that condition and Thomas and his family just play along with her trying to keep her calm? The little girl called her Emma at the beginning, Charlie is almost never there, when she called her from the neighbour's phone it sounded like they did break up. Maybe the scene where Eve leaves the motel is actually Emma leaving Charlotte and Eve just remembers it differently, seems like the time line might be mixed up Still not sure what happened with the other people who entered the house, maybe the house is a portal to another reality? Also Charlie went back to the house at the end and found it borded up and almost goes mad Not sure how all ties up or if is supposed to What do you think?
Wow this is so cool!! This is definitely a book that has a lot of potential answers to what is the "truth", and that's what makes it so engaging! I will have to read it through several times to see how my thoughts change and where there are clues that I missed reading it the first time. I tend to go with the text answers on the first read and then open up theories on the reread. I like this theory a lot and it makes me excited to reread and find more evidence!

Finshed the book last night! I have never completed a book in 2-nights. I was hooked, scared and wanted to stay up late.
Isn't it so fun when you find a book like that?! Literally could not put it down!
@@jaimee-kate yes it is! I'm sad it's over, I need a sequal. 🤣

Thanks for following! And so glad you are enjoying the book! I think it starts really picking up at 25%
I'm intrigued!! I haven't been much of a horror reader but for some reason I'm getting more curious to give it a try and your review convinced me
Have fun! But be warned, it is pretty scary 😅
I just finished the audio book yesterday. Iand it's still in my head. Thinking about what was real. What isn't real.
Right?! You should go over to Reddit to look up all the theories, I think I'm going to have to read it again now!

Ooo I'm interested to hear how you liked it! Did you find it super scary as a non-horror reader?

Thanks for the sub!! I'm always looking for great haunted house books, so I'll look into that one!
Did you catch that there's Morse code at the end of the "side" chapters??
I did! That was so fun!!
thanks for this review! i’m going to start the audiobook of it and this got me hype 🤩
Thank you so much for reading and sharing :)
Thank YOU so much for writing such a fun book!!
I came across this last night on Amazon it was with incidents around the house. I’ll probably get this this week or next. Looks great.
Love love love...now have all versions of this book! There is morse code and so much to figure out!
I've never read the book, but based on the original story, it is fantastic
I really want to get into this book. When I see the horror word attached to it, I think gore and blood and animal cruelty. Is that in this book?
@jschae92 There is not much blood/gore in here! It's mostly a very tense atmosphere + creepy imagery, but no body horror and no animals involved :)
@@jaimee-kateWell, there is a little bit of gore (mild spoiler) in the fight scene with Eve vs. Paige and Thomas towards the end of the story.
On my tbr! I really don't like the cover though. It's just so blah and underwhelming.
The cover does make it look like a domestic thriller 😅I agree it was an odd choice

@@jaimee-kate also is not just 3709, is 3708, 3710, the motel and possibly the whole area is a giant labyrinth
Nice, shame feels unfinished
