It's time for a new video in the "Ask A Chanel Expert" series. Today I decided to recreate one of my go-to makeup looks for when I use to work for the brand. I explained why I chose certain products for a professional and put together look that you can recreate a home.

Absolutely gorgeous and so classy! And I can't tell you how refreshing it is to watch someone who does NOT use false lashes! As a HS teacher, many of my students wear false lashes to the extent that their eyes are reduced to being black dots underneath heavy broom like lashes. I cannot for the life of me understand this trend, so I am so glad to see these classy looks that enhance your natural beauty!
Thank you! False lashes have never really been for me. The last time I wore them I sneezed and one of them flew off my face. I took it as a sign not to wear them.

You were no doubt the perfect Chanel counter MUA - because you still are one of their best advocates! It helps to be beautiful with great skin, as your customers are hoping the makeup will help them look more like you do. So glad you never had to wear false eyelashes, as I have never thought they enhance one’s look. They rarely look natural.
Oh thank you! I agree, some of us just aren’t built for false lashes. Also, I was gifted a set of earrings and a necklace from the brand as gifts of appreciation 💅🏼

Tissé Vendôme is SUCH a good palette. I wasn't getting the hype around the Chanel Tissé eyeshadows until I swatched them. It's a garanteed compliment-getter.

Love the look and enjoy when you use some of your older or favorite products. When the new version of he blushes came out a few years ago I RAN to my counter and bought 4 of the old shades. I have never tried the new ones but heard that they were drier. I am dry enough-thank you. The Jersey blush looks beautiful on you but I am too fair and cool toned and those lovely neutral shades do nothing for me.

Beautiful look, Ali! I have Allure Sensuelle and I prefer it to Allure, becuase it has just a slightly more pronounced oriental note to it. Same Allure DNA floral gorgeousness, with a slight spicy kick.

Hi Ali! Beautiful as always! I’ve had my eye on Tissé Vendome for a while and your video has convinced me to finally get it ❤
I wanted to ask if you’ve had any touble with Pink Explosion blush. I’ve gotten two on separate occasions and both times had hard pan quite soon after. I have many other blushes from other brands and don’t get hard pan with them. I love the color of Pink Explosion but don’t want to keep having this issue. I clean my brushes regularly and wait till my foundation sets before applying. Thanks!
Unfortunately, Chanel reformulated their blushes and now they're hard. Dior, Sisley and even Suqqu offer much nicer blushes now.

Tisse Rivoli was the one that I went through a few times 🤍 I have been buying Chanel since I was 18 (now cough 50) and it brings back such wonderful memories as to those days when I would go to the counter and all the amazing products over the years. I still adore Allure 😀

Do you use eyeshadow primer? Why or why not. My eyelids can be somewhat oily and hooded. Is eyeshadowprimer necessary? Thank you your vids are very informative. I love Chanel eyeshadow and perfume.
I think that an eyeshadow primer is always a good idea to smooth out the eyes and make the shadow last longer. Hourglass makes a great one.
