Yes go to the cheapest school!! One of the biggest killers for grad school loans is the high interest rates they have. By the time I graduated I had over 12k of interest alone.
Haven’t finished the video, but after listening to number 10 for northern Arizona. Out of state will cost you more that 72,000. You can’t get in state tuition in Arizona if you only are there for school (you have to work a full year and do no school to get instate). When I interviews there two years ago it was expect to be 94,000 for out of state.
Your costs for Eastern Carolina U are incorrect. Tuition and fees are $43,321.61 in state and $102,492.11 out of state. Western Carolina U ( where my daughter graduated May '21) costs are similar. UNC-Chapel Hill also has PT school too, so moving to the state gives you a few options to apply to after establishing residency for a year. But moving is a risk as there are about 9 applications for each spot (at ECU). According to WCU DPT site "We consider all well-qualified in- and out-of-state candidates. Out-of-state students are able to gain NC residency after their first year and then they pay in-state rates for education." WCU has special low undergrad tuition rates for in & out of state (OfS is $4200/semester if you have health insurance) compared to other NC state schools, making it a good place to start and get bonus points when applying for DPT at WCU.
I'm finding conflicting info about the service obligation. The FAQ on their website says army requires 90 months of service, and does not mention the other branches. Is it really 54 months instead as state in the video?
@@ExiledAssassin55 It is 90 months total, but that includes your time in school. You are active duty while it school so its 90 months total but approximately 54 after graduation
Sir I am from India studying bachelor of physical therapy in 3 nd year . so for master of physical therapy which is the best universities in USA , what exam I have to give and what is the procedure for addmission and how can I get scholarship .
Good morning sir I was completed my diploma in physiotherapy in Bangladesh 2008. Now I want to do BPT in USA , is it possible . Please advice me . Thanks
In the USA physiotherapy now requires a doctorate degree. Coming from out of country, you may have to get your current degree audited and see if your degree and its credits transfer in order to apply and ultimately be accepted into a DPT program.
Hi thanks for all the info it is really helpful. I am doing my Bachelors in Physical Therapy and would like to do my Masters in Physical Therapy. Could you suggest some good schools to go to.
Hi, Really great video. I have a question about the differences between DPT and tDPt programs. If we are foreign trained PT (BS) and have a green card(work authorization), which program do we need to attend in the US. tDPT or DPT? What is the difference between them? When we complete tDPT and pass the licensure exam, are we accepted as Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapists like DPT grads?
@@jscheelerdpt after couple months we found the answer yes it should be tDPT but necessary as well. If my major is PT in foreign country I just need to apply for licensure process and determine which courses/topics should I get. Then pass the exam to work as PT in here.
one thing I'm still confused.. So after completing bpt Batchelor degree in India if choose to tdpt and complete the course can we use prefix dr(pt) in usa ... or we have to do dpt then only we are allowed to use.. or tdpt is enough
In currently taking care of my prerequisites to get into the PT program at NAU in the Phoenix biomedical center. I’m in state so 35k for my PT schooling almost seems free. I also was an All-USA student so my undergrad at any of the Arizona State Universities is free. Keeping a high GPA and getting involved with the honors program at my community college paid off big time.
Yes after this video I am pretty sure I am going to look for these schools only. Also I have done BPT from India wanna know more about PT study in USA.
Thank you for making this video. i dont have any degree of PT. i graduate persian literature of IRAN. I want to appying pt major. I am internatinal student. Please help me. It is a corect choose??

Unfortunately, you need a doctorate degree to be a PT now and there aren’t any bachelor or masters programs in the US
I’ll be starting PT school this fall

You might have to go take the transitional DPT program instead. That should allow you to use DPT after your name.
what about Angelo state universiy
For a student from India what is are prerequisites or criteria to get admission for DPT.

All the Doctorate requirements and Top degree requirements is really based on putting you and keeping you in debt.
Excuses, I am curious. Can out-off state students join the army Baylor program?
Yes! I'm out of state (Utah) and was accepted.
Just curious, if I graduate in a certain state and get my license in that state, am I only gonna be able to work as a pt in that state only?
I guess you need to get states pt exam so you can work any other states
Is DPT degree is easy or hard ?
Hard
Any in Florida?
Did you factor cost of housing into these estimates?
