I have had a real love/hate relationship with Ultrabright. 😂 When I got that white residue, it was because it was too much pressure. I also have an IQ fusion, and as you mentioned, everyone's situation and environment are different; a 5 on my heat press might be a 4 or 6 on someone else's machine.
I learned from an iColor representative that the long dwell times of up to 40 seconds are for the newer machines because of the type of toner they use. I have an old OKI920 WT printer, and I peel almost immediately as I do with Forever Laser Dark.
I've had consistent results by:
• making sure to heat the bottom platen for 5 minutes
• adding 9 seconds to the recommended 135-second pressing time
• I use the larger A3 sheets, so I heat them for 72 seconds, rotate them 180 degrees, and heat another 72 seconds
• waiting no more than 5 to 10 seconds before peeling

I haven't tried the rotating method yet. Out of all the papers which one do you prefer? I haven't tried the Forever Laser Dark. I've only been using ultrabright, I'm not a fan of the standard 2 step. But yeah its tricky to find the sweet spot but once we do, its great! haha

@@JasperGrey Ultrabright is my favorite! it's just as good if not better than DTF. Forever LD is the same as iColor Standard… I honestly feel like they all get their paper from one supplier and just rebrand them LOL

@@Grafikdetail yeah so far ultra bright marrying process has been butter. Standard I can’t get a clean peel yet 🤷🏻‍♂️ I see a lot of people like magic touch but I haven’t tried that either 😂
