It's great to see both programs advancing their music programs. The students can go to various colleges and get scholarships to further their learning and career. I loved this battle.
Rd 1 - Haven Rd 2 - Craigmont Rd 3 - Craigmont Rd 4 - Craigmont Rd 5 - Whitehaven Rd 6 - Craigmont Rd 7 - Whitehaven Rd 8 - Craigmont Rd 9 - Whitehaven Rd 10 - tie Rd 11 - Whitehaven Rd 12 - Craigmont Rd 13 - Whitehaven Rd 14 - Craigmont Rd 15 - Whitehaven Really great battle!!! I got Craigmont for 7 and Whitehaven for 7 with 1 round as a tie! They both had great sound, but Craigmont had more tailored arrangements. Whitehaven had better woodwinds and percussion, but Craigmont had them on everything brass! They both had moments of weakness. I would say the W would go to Craigmont with the book and arrangements as the tiebreaker!
I have always known about this style of bands. Weather high school or HBCU. I am a 49 year old born and raised in the northwest. We have nothing close to this at any level. I would have done anything to play this style. I love being in the south now and I just can't get enough of it.
@@lexaskew5150 never said whitehaven won. Loudness can’t be the only thing y’all use to determine if someone wins a battle or if the arrangement is good. The execution of the arrangements matter. Both bands had moments for sure.

The thing about copying and playing an arrangement from another band is playing better and Craigmomt came real "Middle School ish" playing "Ball without u" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Oh we not even bout talk about the majorettes because Whitehaven GAVE IT🔥🔥🔥🔥 Instead of hating on a successful Band program that has been consistent for the past 30 years (When everyone else hasn't) learn to take notes because hating aint healthy! #RespectThaHaven 💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤

Most of these Band programs have a 5 yr run and Disappear for 10 yrs or even 20yrs. But Whitehaven the only school in Memphis that has had a Successful Band program for 30 plus years and more! Name another school in Memphis that can say the same? I'll wait 😂
When you say copying craigmont does not do that we are in there own lane I’ve been around and involved in the band world for a long time and if you know anything about Memphis band history like you say you do you’ll know that no high school were playing and executing arrangements on their level not even whitehaven fairley Hamilton Westwood when they were on top and the list goes on so it sounds like you wish you could’ve did it at this level let’s these kids shine #tsunamiodsound it’s levels to this
