HELMET CAM | Wet Onboard in Jesolo | Rotax DD2 | Kart Republic

Not a Really sunny day in Jesolo, but we've done some good progress in the wet. I could have been faster, but considering the old tyre and some other thing this is pretty good.
Now let's go for the first Round of the Rotax Max Italia, the 24th of March

Idk anything about karting but why the sharp steering input? To induce understeer?

We must do like that to make the kart turn. When there is rain on track there is actually no grip on the racing line, so we must use kurbs and go on the outsider of the corner

i dont kart but if cars have taught me anything ur turning in way too aggressive and causing more understeer than necessary but maybe karts dont handle good

Kart in the rain works completely different than a car. The racing line is extremely slippery, so we must use the outside of the corners and use the kerb to turn in. Actually I had a bit of understeer but it was caused by a bad setup setting.

@@leonardobaccaglini yeah wet line is a thing with cars too. i just thought it looked more understeery than i expected but if thats a setup issue then that makes sense. looked pretty good tho

@@Scotty-vs4lf karts generally handle very differently to cars, so in the wet if you aren't turning that aggressively you will just go straight since the front tires wont grip up at all, but if you do that in the dry youll do a 360 (in the wet, since there is no weight over the front tires, you need to push down somehow to make them grip)
