I'm blown away by the finesse of your playing. I play guitar myself for quite a long time but I'm nowhere near this level. It was a treat to listen to your soloing 👍 Thank you for this precious tip. I think that is EXACTLY the medecine I was in such a need for all this time, having a just decent playing but without that breath of soul I'm so keen on, when listening to those marvelous blues players out there ... I. Can't thank you enough. This had to happen 🙏
Oh man, you have no idea, how long I've struggled with this downward motion vibratos on the low strings... The vibratos on the high strings came absolutely natural very soon after I've started to practice very seriously. So I've WAITED for years for it to happen like that on the downward motion vibrato. And it never happend. A year or so ago, I finally found someone on youtube who showed actual exercises to develop that. And thank god... since some time, my vibrato(s) are pretty good, controlled and way more tasteful. It makes such a difference! :) Btw... these exercises were mostly about your advice here: making it in time. That's the key. Besides pre-listening when you are "in action" (not practising) and leaving it away when it's not really needed (on very short notes for example.
great vid jack!! great playing too. I teach vibrato to my students just about the same way you just explained. i agrede... good vibrato and bending are all that matters in the end
Nice lesson as always..Could you do something explaining how the modes work over certain chords changes and during soloing how are you thinking which ones work thru the progression
@@JackGardiner Great! Referring to your first demo, I had to download and try the Fortín Cali Suite and I tweaked the trial version presets in the way you dialed the switches and knobs. Marvelous tones! There are just very few demos showing tasty low gain sounds. I'll have to buy the full version now. 😁
Interesting way to practice rythmicall bending. I definitely need to integrate it in my practices. Do you think it could be interesting to tal about notes length and feel?
Jack, I have fast tremelo on a single string, and even two notes alternating on a single string, but find it difficult to translate that kind of speed to multiple strings. It's coming, but slowly. It seems like the synchronization between left and right is slowing me down. Are there specific exercises, or is it just time and repetition?
Am I drunk or do I see a second *berg there in the right corner? Didn't know you had two. Are they any different? Maybe a roasted maple neck on one? 😋 Sorry if this comment pops up again... It seems I can't comment using a VPN so I tried it several times.
Hahah - not drunk enough apparently! There are indeed two! The one I’m playing has the new Strandberg Prog Pickups in it (HSH) 😉. The other has the standard Strandberg SSH configuration! 🤟
Those lessons are not only great, but I love the kindness you are communicating. You really seem a very nice guy. Thank you: you are truly inspiring.

Jack Gardiner: Gives you a Masterclass in a nutshell, as always :)
Yet another great video. Vibrato is really the difference between sounding musical and just making noise.
I really like when you play in that way .... slowing down the thing, more feeling, more melodic, more musical
Your tone and feel is waw... Love it..
Great tutorial Jack. Thanks!!

Exercises for applying intervals together would be great. That’s something I really need some guidance on.
Thank you!

Hi Jack, wouldn't it be possible to bring the vibrato down in pitch with a prebend?
Hey Jack, Really nice playing mate . What song is that you're playing along too. Is that backing track available.
Tennessee Whiskey
What rig are you playing through? There is no loss of dynamic touch so I'm assuming its not a vst or amp sim?
Lovely playing and tone Jack! What are you using for your tone?
Thanks Jay! 🙏 Both the rhythm parts and the lead are the Fortin Cali Suite by Neural DSP!

Dude where does this fantastic soul phasing come from? What influenced you? It's like earing Alicia Keys singing!
Which Scale ?😅
John mayer!!!
Brandon Ellis, that guy has epic vibrato. Check him out.
100% man! I’ve been a fan of his playing for a while!
Boss
Heeeeyyy! If you teach everyone great vibrato everyone will sound great. Stop! Haha it's a secret! Shhh

When will youtube guitar teachers learn that posing is not and never has been an essential part of teaching?
Posing? What do you mean?
Thank You!
