    I have been doing that for the last 2 years, 18hours without any meal and an hour of high intensive exercise. Now 48 years old, feeling very stronger, energetic and more ahead of my emotions, thoughts and feelings.

      We Muslims fast every year for one month almost 14to 16 hours a day plus the 3 days of full moon every month which is day 13,14 and 15

    It is important that you don’t fast forcefully. If you observe the natural cycle of the body, there is something called a mandala. The mandala means that every 40 to 48 days, the system goes through a certain cycle. In every cycle, there are three days when your body does not need food. If you are conscious of how your body functions, you will become aware that on these days, your body does not need food. And without effort, you can go without food on that day.

    Sadhguru is a good teacher, i have learnt a lot from him and indian wisdom about life. In my former ways of life as a Christian, i am here and divinity is something and some where else, i just have to be good to my neighbors and enjoy the pleasure of senses in food and body, but this way of perception is a great distortion of life and indian wisdom has thought me that I Am is Divinity, I don't mean body is Divinity but That which says 'I', and I is here and now present in the body and I can be realised and I is the only reality. Body is just a reflection like a mirror image and not the real subject, I Am is present even without a gross body or Subtle body and knowing I Am as I Am is the main purpose of human consciousness and not just eat sleep reproduce and dieing one day.     I've begun to eat the fasting foods on Ekadashi simply because I love it. But I'm also doing intermittent fasting on a daily basis and loving it. The next step is to eat just one meal on Ekadashi. This coming from a person who used to eat every two hours! 🙏

      Hey! I'm doing intermittent fasting these days. Tomorrow is ekadashi, so how should I go about the fasting thing? I mean should I break the routine of 16hrs fasting or not? Would I have to go without food for the whole day?? Pls explain , it's getting very confusing. Efforts appreciated.

      @@smitajaiswal4505 There are various ways of fasting for ekadasi. One way is to take only water till you feel hungry and when you feel hunger, take some fruits/vegetables (salads). But no cooked food. So start with water and then eat fruits & vegetables till evening and break the fast after sunset. If you can manage with fruits in dinner also its very good. But you have to break the fast on the next day morning, i.e., on Dwadasi.

    Finally someone said it, eat when your hungry but don’t even panic then. Personally I only consume liquids and really don’t eat not eating is the choice to wake up from what I consider to be debilitating bio memories. Sleep is the depression that causes the middle place of infinite human confusion I feel. Making you think your bad when really your better self is adjusting to the everything of the new day. If only we could refresh and excite sooner as in milli seconds mattering we would be better off. I wake up to a beautiful shiva mantra to connect me to my consistency.

    Food is often used as a tool by the ego to create stimulation, currently working on not falling into temptation of the egoic mind and allowing myself to have a space of void to make room for things that the spirit can consume.     I’ve been looking at food for the last couple days with disinterest and not feeling hungry (like missing dinner and not realizing it till much later) and was thinking something was wrong with me, but it wasn’t the first time, a couple months ago I felt the same thing happen. It only lasts for one or two days that I’m really aware of, and then back to regular cycle. I was just asking why does this happen, and this came up. Much Aloha🌺
