It's one thing to be inspired by another character but to just outright copy is a shame. I believe Rob Liefeld is responsible for most of these. He helped to create Deadpool and after that kept copying.
@@DominiqueSpikes-i1t yes they have. But image comics copies are more blatant. They are literally copies, while DC and Marvel always try to add something unique to their Characters.
in italy during the fascist era we had some copycats for superman and batman, such as: Ciclone (superman) or Nembo Kid for a much more similar character to supes. and Ala d'acciaio (batman), as much i know they only were a restyling about the costumes and a name change, dont know if there were other copycats btw
Most of these are rob "I traced it so it's my art" liefeld characters. Let's not beat that dead horse. But mighty man, yeah. Erik larsen created that one. Kinda has elements of both marvel and dc's captain marvel. But mostly dc. He even said shazam when he passed his powers on to someone else. You could do a video about Erik's characters. There's a lot of parodies or homages in his savage dragon book. Sgt.marvel is an obvious batman rip-off. Then there's battletank(ironman) superpatriot(cap America) overlord(doc doom) star(spiderman) mako(King shark) and many more. Its crazy fun to read. Although I don't like where the books been going these last years. Lots of porn. Mickey mouse as a sex offender. Not much of a plot.
Ask yourself this Nerd Talk why do you think Image was able to copy those characters & not get sued it's because those ppl worked for both Marvel & DC some of which helped to create or drew those characters so they are just copying their own work they did for these companies. Not to mention it's a little known secret in the comic book industry if someone creates a character that part of an existing group let's say like the Green lanterns or let's say the Avengers that creator does not own his character this is why most of those guys at Image left marvel and DC to create Image comics in the first place. Perfect example would be Todd McFarland Todd McFarland creator of Spawn actually if you look at Spawn Spawns powers are somewhat similar to Venom Spawn has a living suit just like Venom has a living suit however a lot of people don't know that Todd McFarland created Venom which by the way he does not own because he was part of the Spider-Man universe. So again those people left because they wanted to own their characters

Evil Superman Ripoffs are now Rebranded as Homelander Ripoffs.
Shadowhawk was cool. He broke spines. They made a martial arts film and had Michelle Yeoh play Shadowhawk. Michael Jai White is in it too.
Mighty Man was a hilarious copycat of Shazam. Larsen did a lot of enjoyable, hilarious, warped superhero copies in Freak Force.
Marvel and DC have done the same thing

Wait til you go down the rabbithole of The Shadow and Batman....
Companies copy each other, Big Deal
@@ComicFan98 its not a big deal, but its a good topic to talk About in a TH-cam video
@@NerdTalkk you’re right
@@NerdTalkk I apologize for my rudeness
Don't forget Deadpool is a blatant ripoff of Ambush Bug.
What if the ripoff is ripping off a ripoff?
@@Rem-hr1uk This has already happened, more than once

All of those ripoffs were pretty good in their own right. Still are too.

That amazing could be taken many ways!!! Gary Bailey LOL
I still love image comics but Deadpool if I remember correctly was actually created by the same guy who created Slade Wilson.
