rebuild idea: do it with the lakers until bron retires, then draft someone, or take someone maybe 2 seasons in, then see if you can break the all time scoring record with that player, could be hella fun imo.
Hey Matt, love the vid wanted to also point out something that could help. In the Finals at the end of Year 1 you could’ve looked at match ups. I think Vanderbilt is a decent defender but since you had him at the 4 he was gonna defend Tatum and I think that’s what led to him scoring 32 ppg. I love the content man, keep up the amazing work! 💯

LAL prolly should’ve tried to move Lonnie Walker for maybe some kinda 3&D wing, or even a Caruso or something. I love getting Beasley, DLo is the best they could’ve done given the situation, and Vando is good/young and on a great deal. If he can just hit corner 3s he will progress as a really valuable player. But they lack point of attack defense for sure. I still really dislike the Rui trade, honestly. I get they wanted youth and size, he has potential…but he’s not a defender at all. He’s not a very good 3P shooter at all. It would’ve been amazing if they could’ve gotten Saddiq in that DET GSW ATL POR trade (though that might fall through lol) since they gave up so many 2nds for Rui. Saddiq isn’t a great defender but he’s young, has an extra year on his rookie deal, and I truly think he can be a shooter. At the very least he’s a 40% corner 3P shooter and is 6”7. Just saying I’d much rather have him than Rui. Hell honestly maybe even Jalen McDaniels I’d rather have especially given he costs way less and would’ve cost less in assets. It is what it is tho. I really like LW and he’s obv one of the best shooters on LAL rn. I just think he’s gonna get squeezed on mins with adding DLo and especially Beasley. He was already not playing enough at all. I don’t think he’s a Darvin Ham favorite. I think LW (assuming he really can continue to shoot ~38% 3P on like 5att) could be a very solid 6th man type or at least a 22-24MPG rotation guy when you have a LBJ who has the ball in his hands so much. But ya they just have too many of these guys now. I’d rather him play over Schroder tho.
