I feel terrified just watching him, but imagine how his fellow skaters feel while watching him?? Imagine being on the same ice as someone trying something as crazy as this, knowing how much it strains you just land a jump, much less fall trying to do a Quadruple Axel??? Imagine knowing how it feels like to fall so badly and watch as someone does something that likely hurts more?? Dude, I'd be so worried.

no. actually the author was a fan of Mr.machida, who is retired . yuri was a drop out fat skater, but this guy has been the top skater and he is straight. so nothing common.
Why do coaches waste their students's time in competition practice to train and attempt elements they won't even think about trying in the compeition? Is it all a psyche game? He could have used the time to run through his program a few times......
it is kinda naive if you to think that 2xOGM skater, or any skater for that matter, needs to train the program at this stage (...what would they achieve so late before the competition starts?) These practices are for them to get the feel of the ice and adjust their head and thinking, it´s mostly mental and psychological at this point... And let´s be honest from Yuzu it was more like, yeah ALLL watch me now....:-), because at this point in his career he can do whatever the fuck he wants. He could go out , pull up a chair and tie and retie his skates couple of times and there will be people in the audience crying because they had the priviledge to watch it live...he is at that caliber...
So yeah, according to Ghislain, Yuzuru sent him 5 videos a while before jnats last year with a message that said 'Check this out.’ and it's Yuzuru standing up after landing 4A.
