Established in 1961, Upper Canada Village is among Canada's largest living-history locations. Their mission is to represent life in a rural English Canadian community as it was in 1866. The village showcases over forty historical buildings, many of which were relocated here before the "Lost Villages" were submerged during the St. Lawrence Seaway development. The site includes residences, operational mills, and various trades workshops.
