Where RDC screwed up, is that they inadvertently made Mark the poster child of their brand. This makes it immensely difficult to scale their business because there is only so much time in the day that Mark can spend making content. People come to RDC to see Mark (If you don’t believe me, compare the stream views where Mark is on the stream versus the stream views where everyone else is on the stream. Or compare video views where Mark is on the thumbnail versus video views where everyone else is on the thumbnail). While everyone has their role, it’s clear that Mark is the one who is the most entertaining, which means that if else tries to fulfill that role they will come up short and lose numbers.
