Yay for Gideon!!! Yeah I experienced that in my tire also. Thank God, no blowout. I drove 5 mph once for about 15 miles to get to the place where I got my tire changed. I drove to another place thinking that they had a tire and they didn't,so I had to clump all the way back and through God's mercy, I made it, and I didn't break down on the side of the road.
It’s known as a “bulging tire” and eventually it will blow. It can be caused by bad roads and/or hot road surface. Pago was 100% correct. I’m glad you guys are safe. Be Blessed going forward. ❤

We just learned the way to lower and put back tire on my SUV. Had something in tire requiring new tire to be ordered. The workers in tire shop thought the spare was stuck from not ever being used. My husband got truck back home , googled it and did what the workers (big name company) didn't know to do. Lol thought it was odd because they replace and install tires all day on all types vehicles. Live and learn. Glad you guys are ok and arrived safely 🙏🏽❤ Don't feel bad about anything Don , you listened to Pegi and stopped in the right place and time and God did the rest🙌🏽
Glad you guys are good, Don do you have tools ? go to Harbor Freight and get you a cordless Impact wrench 3/8 with the battery and charger some Impact sockets a moving blanket or tarp to lay on the ground a 3 ton floor jack and keep it in the back of the truck and don't forget to spray WD40 on the cable so the tire comes down easy be safe.
Pegi your story times kill me! I can picture the whole scene the way you describe things. 😂. I love that you guys support each other regardless of fault, even though those are the funny parts of the story. You truly have each other’s back. You both learn something during the process and still come to share it with us and we learn something too. My mini camper has its spare tire underneath the van like that too. Y'all are from Houston, so I'm guessing you're used to hurricanes. If it were me, I'd already be setting up my "temporary camp" today up near Macon or further north. A little too close for comfort IMO. Don have you gotten that bad tire swapped out and the spare back where it belongs yet? I have had Ram pickups since 2012 and they don't put great tires on them from the factory. Praying you skirt the storm and have no more tire surprises for a while.

Don’t feel. I have the same setup on my Highlighter. I have no idea where the spare tire or doughnut tire. I keep saying that I will inquire each time I take my vehicle in for service. I’ll be taking it in on Tuesday, so hopefully I will remember to ask. When I heard about the hurricane path, I thought about you guys.
I remember my very first car, I got a lump in the tire after leaving the dealership. I went back & they replaced it & I made it home & enjoyed my car from there. We know Pegi forgave you bcse she was right there beside you as y’all told the story of events,lol 😊. That’s genuine Godly love, let it go and enjoy each other & DJ of course, he’s our little man🦮❣️. I’m sure a lot of us learned something from this vlog, I experienced it with my very first car centuries ago🤣 & this was a reminder to my hubby as to why I always say “scan the road honey”, when he’s driving. After the tropical storm, the early part of the days will most likely be dry but the late afternoon & evening mostly rain, so y’all get in what ya can in these Florida Sunshine RV streets. Might want to head further southeast into Florida instead of north into Georgia. The storm is going into Georgia and South Carolina and cause major flooding. Down towards Cape Canaveral, Melbourne, even over towards Orlando it’s not bad. We’re south of Orlando right now and it’s just raining. The majority of the storm is on the Gulf side and heading north and crossing the state towards you in Jacksonville and then north. Now MSG, remember PMCS…the tread on that tire didn’t look new at all. Not even on the side where the bubble wasn’t. Check all your tires and remember to change out the bad tire so if you have another flat you’ll have a replacement. So thankful you two weren’t in an accident! Being prayed up is great, but you have to listen too! And God was speaking to you through your beautiful wife, but you weren’t listening. Stay blessed my friends!

Don will never admit this but he is probably tired, physically and mentally. It’s stressful having to be on the move constantly, setting up and a few days later having to pack up and move again. When you hit your 50s, everything changes and you just don’t have the energy you used to have, especially men. Thankfully you both believe in prayer and you work well together. I m sure someone else has probably told you to get the front end of your truck checked out Something is probably wearing out on your tire thread for it to be wearing out on the side of the tire.
We have heard that, so we took it in to the RAM dealership. They noticed a misalignment based likely on the previous owner replacing the right side tires separately from the left side with a different brand. The tires were rotated so the fronts would match and the rears matched. We will be watching carefully and plan a full set replacement next month. Thanks!

Don will never admit this but he is probably tired, physically and mentally. It’s stressful having to be on the move constantly, setting up and a few days later having to pack up and move again. When you hit your 50s, everything changes and you just don’t have the energy you used to have, especially men. Thankfully you both believe in prayer and you work well together. May God continue to bless you and you Pegi and Don (and DJ too) 🥰

Something is probably wearing out on your tire thread for it to be wearing out on the side of the tire.
We have heard that, so we took it in to the RAM dealership. They noticed a misalignment based likely on the previous owner replacing the right side tires separately from the left side with a different brand. The tires were rotated so the fronts would match and the rears matched. We will be watching carefully and plan a full set replacement next month. Thanks!
I think it's awesome not only did the Lord answer prayer by sending help but also someone with a biblical name! Gideon means mighty warrior he was a military leader, judge and a prophet in the Bible.
