Just ordered it. The delivery to EU now is about 1/3 of the price, so this is most likely my last purchase from the UK. I tried not to buy it for about an hour, then watched the video once again and ordered. Don't know where to put it so far and my wife doesn't know yet but look how badass it looks! Most likely there will be new pickups, tuners and wiring - but who knows! UPD: I received the guitar (they charged me again upon pick up - it's crazy now!) and my impression is similar to the description in the video. First, of all - this is Squier Bullet from Indonesia, I mean inexpensive hardware etc. The guitar is very light, the neck is ok, the fretboard was dry but the frets are ok, probably a bit of polishing is needed. I don't like the tuners, I've ordered the original ones from Fenders (I have them on my MIM Tele and they are good). The nut will be replaced for a TUSQ XL nut as well. This is it regarding the neck. The body is very light but the pickguard is very good - no complaints to Stompbox at all. Pickups sound very unbalanced, in my opinion, with the very loud P90 (I asked Stompbox about the pickup brand, they didn't respond, so I googled and found that it is from Boston Musical Products, the Netherlands) and the bridge pick up with a relatively low output. So, I will swap both pick ups as well (although the Boston P90 is not totally bad). I do not like the feeling of 3-way switch on this guitar - they use the switch and pots from Alpha and I will replace them to CTS. So, to conclude: would I buy it again if I would know all this? - absolutely yes. There could be 3 main purposes for this guitar: 1 - a great beginner guitar for a PJ fan, 2 - a furniture, 3 - a starting point for a modding project. Mine is the 3rd one. I've ordered all I wanted to replace except the picups and the cost comes closer to the price of the guitar but this is the reality - the price of more expensive hardware plus work this is what makes the higher cost of more expensive guitars. I do believe this will be a great working horse with a special PJ vibe when I complete my project.

Just got a Gibson Les Paul 50s tribute gold top about a year ago. Looooveee the P90s in that (especially for Pearl Jam). But now you have me thinking I NEED one of these!
I have made a few Squiers into tone monster players. This is very cool. Doesn't sound half bad at all. Congrats and enjoy. Take out the tone control and make it a separate volume where you can use the P90 to warm up the bridge or brighten the P90 in the middle with the bridge.
@@LetsPlayAll my 3 Teles have no tone controls anymore. One does have fixed tone switch via a push/push but I can't remember which capacitor I used in it. But it takes it to a warm sound on both pickups if switch. Not muddy just warmer.
I like PJ but not to the point where I’d get a replica of the singer’s guitar. What I do like though is the sound of that P90 in the neck. Have a Tele already that I love so may have to get another and install a P90. What brand is it? Can’t see anything on the website, sorry if you mentioned it and I missed it!
I'm not sure what brand it is mate but it would be a fairly reasonably priced one given the guitar is a budget model so just go for whatever P90 you have budget for mate i reckon :-)

Funny thing is... I bought my first "good" guitar when I had just left school, and got my first regular paycheque working in a factory... at around the time I was getting into Pearl Jam. Vs and Vitalogy, to be specific - I hadn't really caught on much with Ten.. (though I did play Black at the high school formal... 🤷♂️).. Anyhoo, I walked into a guitar store one day, on chance, when I was in the city (I lived in the country , so never saw any guitars , and with no utube...i had no idea about them. My G.A.S. lay dormant, still, even tho I had played (a strat copy) for several years..). So i walked into Muso's Corner, and right there on a stand in the middle of the foyer as you walked in, was a black telecaster. I picked it up and immediately went straight to the counter, wallet out. I had absolutely no clue what the price might be - or the prices of other guitars...I didn't even know there was a difference depending on which country it was made in - let alone which country the one in my hand was made in "$1700" (AUD) the guy said. I handed him my credit card without blinking. (For reference, it was about the pricing of between Pro 2, I was about to walk off with it when he said , "Wait, don't you want the case...??" 😂. I was like..."Sure, ok"... I wound up selling it about 5 years later when I needed a car, and I was going to uni, so, not earning. I sold it for like..$800... because the car was that much. I didn't realise I could have gotten much more for it! See, people forget what it was like before the internet & smart phones... it was like the Dark Ages! You could live in complete ignorance about something...and have to make life decisions on said ignorance. Anywayz, I got thoroughly carried away, with my own memory lane story... I ⁰ raved on and lost track!🙆♂️. Soz about that.. My point was...I had a nice black US Tele back before Eddie had even learned to play his own songs! But I could play 'em! And that black tele was so lovely... I have always missed her.. (In retrospect, I think part of why the black tele jumped out at me - I mean, besides its' strategic placement! - is that I must have seen one in the Killing in the Name of clip , and subconsciously filed it in "cool" file in m' noggin. I also liked its' retro, kinda "dorky→chíc" vibe. I also drove a '64 Holden EH, for the same reason...and sometimes wore suits with enormous collar lapels I found at Op shops, for the same reason!🤷♂️. I also associated the shiny black with my father's grand piano I had my learned on as a kid, so...a bunch of reasons.) I'll just add this .. that when I sold her for so little...it upset me then, so much that I decided to quit guitar for good. I had just gotten sober, and so I somehow bundled it all into my old life...and stopped playing guitar for like 20 years...! 😥 🙆♂️I can't believe I did that! I could never bring myself to spend...what, $2+K on replacing her (aswell as the Marshal stack & other gear..)... but then one day I happened upon a convo with a guy saying he had just used "Zippay" to buy his nee "Made in Mexico" Fender Strat for like...$900 AUD.... This was just 6 years ago...and I finally learnt about Mexican Fenders! I marched on in, intending on buying a MIM black Tele... but, see, utube swayed me with a Tele Vs Strat video.... and I wound up getting the Strat (blue) ...because it has: - ✅ An extra pick up! ✅ A whammy bar!! 7 guitars later, and I _still_ haven't replaced that black US Tele... 😥 I don't know what's wrong with me! → Everytime I get the money up, I start looking at how much "more" I could be getting for my money...!🙆♂️ • An Ibanez RG with burled poplar top; • Tonezone/true velvet/Air Norton Dimarzio pickups; • 11 piece neck including wenge/purpleheart/Panga panga..! • Gotoh locßking tuners • Edge 2 Floating trem (arguably the best double locking trem system on the market) ; • Stainless Steel frets (24) ; • sculpted neck heel joint 7ml figured exotic wood top ; • Mother of Pearl inlays • Luminescent side dots... *Vs* A chopping board screwed to a plank - but painted shiny black lacquer, but.. 😊🤷♂️ It's a hard sell! We’ve all been there tho, I sold a Jem floral for about £450 if memory serves many years ago and those are like £3-4k now haha. Ah well! Never a better time to buy cheaper gear tho, this is a far east squier and I’ve played a bunch of sub £300 guitars that are excellent so you don’t need to spend a lot for guitars theses days 🤘😊
Could your buddysort me one of these pick guards? I've had a tele for a couple years I bought for this reason but I'm yet to do it, I love playing it so a printed plate would be better in the long run.
Nice! My amp settings are always pretty much a flat EQ with gain set so amp's just on the edge of breakup. Pedal settings I share in a lot of my lessons, certainly most newer ones :-)

Sounds great! Coudory sounded just like some of the bootlegs you hear withbeddies guitar, I got a squire cv 50s was very supprised with what I got for the price! I been looking around for a eddie vedder telecaster I believe it's a 70s tele but might be wrong!

@@LetsPlayAll I agree! over the last few years alot of budget guitars have massively improved, I also got a gretsch streamliner and that really surprised me too of how versitial it was for its price! I use it when Im learning soundgarden stuff or just messing around trying stuff to get that vibe. Really like your channel! my go to place to learn pearl jam! I saw them when they went to the 02 London the 2nd gig! So the corduroy and rearview mirror gave me a nice flash back, first concert I ever been too and they were brilliant.
Allow me :-) It's called "I Got ID" and was a tune Ed wrote for Merkin Ball, an EP that had Long Road on side 2. I think it was written at the same time they did Mirrorball with Neil Young. Pretty sure Neil plays on this tune too. Live they refer to it as "i got sh1t" It's a wicked tune, some of my fave lyrics

Wouldn’t be my main guitar but I only bought it as a piece of cool art to go on the wall. But would be a great first guitar for a PJ fan 🤘😀
Yea i thought the custom shop LP was pretty steep at about £5k even for a limited run but a strat for over £10k is madness! I guess it’s the man/woman hours doing all that relicing work that bumps the price up

Can someone please tell me the name of the song at 8:35. I just played thru my whole catalogue and can’t seem to find it.
Allow me :-) It's called "I Got ID" and was a tune Ed wrote for Merkin Ball, an EP that had Long Road on side 2. I think it was written at the same time they did Mirrorball with Neil Young. Pretty sure Neil plays on this tune too. Live they refer to it as "i got sh1t" It's a wicked tune, some of my fave lyrics

Thanks! The classic vibes are a few hundred quid more I think so would push the price up a lot. I think it’s a great guitar, if I played Eddie in a tribute band I’d defo use it. Wouldn’t be my main guitar but I only bought it as a piece of cool art to go on the wall. But would be a great first guitar for a PJ fan 🤘😀

Yea i thought the custom shop LP was pretty steep at about £5k even for a limited run but a strat for over £10k is madness! I guess it’s the man/woman hours doing all that relicing work that bumps the price up
@@LetsPlayAll yes... eric johnson signature is about £2000...cos it is a new guitar.. Mike's strat needa like a month of scratching it in an exact way as he did during the past 30years..must be crazy to do it
