I thought that for a minute, but in all reality other than focusing on particular stats (which should be obvious based on the build), nothing will change level 100+ seeing as these videos have already covered the end game gear.
@@commongentleman529 I haven't watched every build but I feel like certain specific end game talisman and gear are purposefully left out of builds because you can't usually get them till well beyond level 100 (at least in my personal experience).
I guess being level 250 is a bit overkill for journey one then 😅😳

@biuor su the latest patch nerfed the weapon's art stagger.
@biuor su as you can see in the video (and the video is in 1.03 patch) , you must hit/connect the sword to the enemy while using the skill, not just the projectile, because the projectile have little to no stagger
Definitely love to see a gravity samurai based around the gravity spells, meteoric blade, and meteorite staff. I think it'd be a lot of fun!

Well, you do need to be close enough to use Gravitas, but try this, use Gravitas, then RB or R2 charged to hit the enemy. Do it 2 times mostly stagger the enemy completely cause the meteorite ore blade charge attack would always destroy poise.
Dualwield meteoric in left hand and moonveil in right. It’s insane.

I'm running this on my current first-time, no-spoilers, 100%, find everything, play through of this game, so I really appreciate you building on it. It's a very approachable build that lets me learn a lot about the stats and game mechanics quicker and easier than any other Soulsborne game has which is very satisfying. So while it may eventually become boring doing the same thing to the end of the game, I'm going to be a lot more prepared in my next build. I'd love to see frenzied, beastial and dragon build progressions because those as very unique for this game and very interesting to me for the next run.

This looks fantastic. On NG plus I was able to drop the fire giant in about a minute using katanas. The bleeds are absolutely amazing.

This looks like such a fun build and is very near to what I am already going for with my lvl 60 character. I've been using more spells in my off hand rather than dual wielding but I'm finding that there are so many spells I end up spoiled for choice and only use 2 or 3 anyway for range. That combined with the damage potential of another katana in addition to Moovneil has me very intrigued.
Also this is a fucking amazing channel with S tier content, as someone who gets anxiety by these larger games it really helps having a guiding hand. Plus it helped a buddy of mine get into Elden Ring as his first Fromsoft game. Out here helping us all git gud and it's much appreciated.
I've been feeling really weak in the end parts of this game im fighting bosses i cant even stand toe to toe with out getting killed not even making a dent. After i rebuilt my character with Rennala using this build its like a breath of fresh air i feel like these bosses should be deadly afraid of me. Felt like i had to share this cause this build changed my love for this game even more

Brilliant strategies to increase your poise damage. That’s exactly what I felt the moonveil alone was lacking.
yeah, used to do it very easily before nerf. Now it takes quite a few hits, 3-5 depending on the boss with the ACTUAL sword of the R2 slash. So this is a nice way of subverting that.

yeah, super missable. I was following a questline guide for Ranni, and still screwed up getting this on my first playthrough!

@@TheBigJame_ yeah I've found Seluvis and another NPC dead from finishing other quest lines so can't revive them. NG+ I'll be a lot tighter with quests.
@@obese_gazelle5615 I said I do the same after my first playthrough, but Seluvis quest is stupid-easy to mess up. A guide is basically essential to get the steps right here.
At least the talisman isn't THAT great.

Bows are cool but the arrows aren’t the best since you have to farm for them and the ones you used before you died are gone

@@greatchunk3394 and if anything just save scum for mats. I don’t like doing it for like actual gear but if you’re on ps and upload to the cloud and drop your mats for your friend you can download your save and he still has all the mats. Like I said, I don’t like doing this for anything if actual importance, but I’m not gonna be hurt if it saves me a fuck ton of time farming for mats.

@@alexd.5836 hey Alex. I can't remember the exact stats but it got the point where I had enough vigor and endurance to survive most things so I kept hitting intelligence. Never touched mind or dex.

this is robably going to be my build now. i was using the sword of knight and flame but i switched to moonveil as i felt it fit my desired playstyle better. this is exactly what i was looking for

I always like Katanas in previous games (Dark Souls Series), so when I look at list of Katanas, I immediately fall in love with Moonveil. And that brings me here in your video! I started using something similar to your midgame moonveil build when I got the weapon, then ended up slowly increasing my intelligence score and building a hybrid moonveil samurai/sorceress. Moonveil in right hand, with the carian royal sceptre in left (meteorite staff before I reached 60 Int).
It works really well given that I can use transient moonlight without having to switch anything. Allowing for very quickly and simply going from casting long range spells like glintstone cometshard/Loretta's greatbow to transient moonlight slashes when the enemy closes in to range.
I was considering adding a second katana as an option, so seeing this build be somewhat of a variation of that idea, albeit more geared towards samurai than sorceries, has given me the confidence to try that. So thanks for the video :)
I made the same thing, but using the freezing mist ash of war instead of the glintblade phallanx. The extra cold helps proc it even faster and I quite like using bleed and cold together.

@@subklueless Dual scimitars would likely be better 'cause they often strike together, but I haven't found a natural bleed curved sword yet

Wing of Astel (or whatever thats called) is a neat main hand but dual katana bleed w/ frost buildup seems better (not against everything though). there is one bleed CS, scavenger curved sword. Again. I just dont feel the moveset is better and transient moonveil is just too damn good and fast
Love the builds, been working on a poison build that is actually way more powerful than any bleed/frost builds, might be an interesting one to do
If you want a build to smash everything with little resistance, this is it. I have no words...all the bosses I struggled with on my first few playthroughs (with the exception of Melania -_-) absolutely melt. Fights that took me 5+ minutes are over in seconds. Keep up the good work!

I swapped out uchi for the longer blade and stuck magic damage on it for clearing regular enemies. Kept uchi for cold build up as well. Surprisingly came to the same talisman choices up until end game where I felt no need for the FP regen on crits. Build does some crazy damage and endgame bosses can be chewed through with this build as is.

Anyone looking at this should definitely consider the Spellblade Set from Rogier. Each piece gives a damage boost to both moonveil and to glintblade phalanx (only the ash of war, not the spell).
Also note the glintblade phalanx stays up when you put the weapon away. So I have it on the lightest dagger I could find. I use a Sacrificial Axe in my off-hand and two-hand the moonveil. It gives 4 FP on kill (Sword of Milos gives 5 FP on kill, but it weighs a whole lot more). I also have Golden Vow on it for a solid 45-sec buff when needed (it can't take glintblade phalanx or I would have put it there instead of the dagger).
I also use the Ancestral Spirit Horn talisman for an extra 3 per kill. So, wandering around the world I get 7 FP per kill and typically kill things for 15 FP with Filigreed Crest plus potentially a glintblade phalanx (cost is also reduced by filigreed crest and increased damage from shard of alex as mentioned in the video). Often I'll kill things with just the sword for easier enemies also which net gains FP. Bottom line is I played this build through a bunch of the later game all the way through the final boss and never ran out of FP even with only carrying 3 FP flasks; it's nearly FP neutral.
Magic scorpion, ancestral spirit horn, carian filigreed crest, and a flex which is usually shard of alexander. Moonveil, dagger with glintblade phalanx, horn bow, a casting staff (situational), brass shield, sacrificial axe. Spellblade set.

Thanks for making this because I went from your last moonveil build which I was comfortable with and had already added an uchigatana to it, to your blazing bushido and I am just not good enough to run vigor that low. I’ll try it again at a higher level though.
Great info, the only thing I recommend for this build is having a “Magic Misericorde Dagger” as your secondary RH weapon. As it will do more crit damage then any other weapon for this build. So if you get a chance to do a crit you can switch to the dagger then do big damage.

Or a dagger with golden vow. It's light, so you switch, buff and go back to the katanas.

Thanks for the video, man. I started with a magic samurai but then all of the sudden I had become a mage without noticing. Was playing with the the big old Intelligence helmets, looking like an idiot and casting all over the place. That playstyle became very boring very quickly for me.
Thanks to this video I am now wielding two katanas and feeling like a badass.
You saved my playthrough
I was running the same build before switching to a bleed build and people are not using Rogier spellblade enough with this build. Each piece adds extra damage for both ashes of war but for the hat I was using the +6 INT that added a good amount of damage. Also the critical hits to regain FP is a waste with this build, use the Sorseal talisman because it will boost the bow/katanas damage, extra weight for a brass shield offhand and extra stamina/hp, you also mention hitting to apply cold buff is better than critical hits.
You will also have enough endurance for a staff (recommend moonveil, bow, staff in right hand so it's easier to fast switch to shield in intense moments) and highly recommend the night mist spell. Your katana will bounce from Crystal' enemies and that spell will completely bypass their armor making them an easy target. You will also be able to cheese some other monsters in hard situations.
I honestly think I was doing more damage with my moonveil/frost build than ROB/Sepukku with all the require blood items but I like to keep things fresh and also like to min/max and don't like how my moonveil build looks. Basically refuse to use other than the rogier set with +6INT after doing test on my damage.
Ohh don't sleep on the horn bow with magic arrows, enchanted shot also tracks enemies so it's better than mighty shot and you will be able to kill regular trash in 1 or 2 hits. Most of the time you will not even need the ash of war to snipe them for afar
I have really been farming souls for a while in hopes to do this build, switching from a samurai with uchi, this build feels great. I'm a new player so spells and secondary katanas still kinda confuse me. The moonveil itself is great!

I build myself a holy assassin, would like to see a endgame build with daggers from you too. I use the blade of calling as I like the weapon art cause it fits in the theme but it also does good dmg, more than black knife and I think its costs even 5fp less but don't nail me on that.

Started my own one of this type of build a few days before seeing your vid, it's sooo much fun. Love that glintstone pebble is a great way to pick stuff apart and then smash stuff when they get close. My big hate is just how bad most of the spells seem to be. At least the lower level ones.

If you're struggling trying to use Glintblade Phalanx on your offhand (like 50% of the comments), hold the button you would normally use to swap between one-handed and two-hand (Y on Xbox controller). Instead of hitting R1 or R2, press L1 or L2. This will swap between 2-handing and dual-wielding your Uchi (you want to two-hand your Ichi to cast phalanx and then swap back into dual-wield).
I don't think it's useable on horseback... but otherwise works as advertised.
It is used on horseback, but the left hand weapon will go to the right and will be the only usable weapon

This exact same build was my first playthrough. I used Radagons soreseal (fort haight) and Marikas soreseal (haligtree) to raise my stats and used the rest of my points to pump int (60) and dex ( at least 40). The dual weilding instead of critical strike when the stance breaks is the most crucial part of this build because it almost always procs bleed and frost. The amount of bosses you can shred before they start their second phase shenanigans is great. If people are looking for one build to carry them throughout the game, then this is it. All you need to do is stay close and get those early roll dodges perfect when the bosses are still in their first phase.
How was it against the end game bosses?
@@Swinhoegaming Switch between magic and Frost on your uchigatana/nagakiba as he said in the beginning of the video. Gargoyles and the secret dragon bosses go down easy with magic. Elden beast is unfortunately immune to all status but frost setup somehow did better than magic setup.
Rest are all affected by bleed so you will have a easier time with them.
Any room to mix in rivers of blood to dual wield with moonveil or frost uchi? If you have the Arcane stats of course?
@@rajohnbutler7131 Rivers of blood is good only against human bosses or bosses that have slow attacks. The main point of rivers of blood is it's ash of war which takes a bit of time to fully take effect. End game bosses are too fast and hit hard so much so that you will be knocked out before you complete the flurry if you are going solo. Though you can switch to ROB when you stance break them with normal unsheathe to pile in some bleed if the boss is not immune to bleed.
But this consumes a lot of fp and points in dex, int and arc. You are honesty better of reaching soft cap in dex and int and maybe getting faith to 18 to use "flame grant me strength"
@@vijaybm9305 Rivers of blood struggles on any boss immune to bleed aswell. Gargoyles are rough as hell and so is the final boss. And yeah your right about the time to get it off, if you arent using a summon (hate them) then your not going to get a chance to get them off. Moonveil / Sorcery build for me is better with the frostbite and then the bleed too

Beware: the stagger damage of transient moonlight has been HEAVILY nerfed. Don’t expect to stagger anything like in this or the other moonveil build videos. The damage is mediocre at lower upgrade levels as there are a lot of better options for int/dex weapons that haven’t been nerfed like the Godslayer great sword or Death’s Poker which both scale brilliantly and can last into new game+ and beyond.
What would be your suggested samurai build as of now?

It's really rare to stagger with Moonveil, I never staggered any Boss even miniboss pass RL50. But the damage is still good, I keep going back to Moonveil every time I respec.
Interrupting enemies with TM is also good.
There are lots of good weapons out there and maybe I just prefer it's playstyle but RL100 is as good as RL50 with Moonveil.
@@berryven that was my point. You can literally stagger almost every boss in the game and there are weapons and ashes of war that do it in one or two casts. Then there are weapons with int scaling that do more damage and weapons with dex scaling that do more damage. Plus moonveil has to go through multiple dmg resistances instead of one which isn’t ideal. Besides pvp, the stance damage was pretty much all it had going for it.
Excited to see the lvl 100 Champion Power Stance build. Since Determination was nerfed to only apply to one hand the kit for Champion has been cut down to just the jump attacks and it's been feelin very vanilla so far!

How are you quickly switching from dual wielding to the Uchigatana to cast off Glintblade Phalanx after using Transient Moonlight?
Re-speced from my Dex Dual-Uchi built to Int with the Moonveil today and man, 70 hours of built muscle memory to the Unsheathe with Transient Moonlight really takes getting used to. But so much potential in this!
Amazing build, super fun to use and without OP weapons/skills. Just crushed certain Commander and certain Duo thanks to this build :)
I been using this at 150. 40 vigor, 30 endurance, 25 mind, 18 str (nagibika), 40 Dex and 60 int. For talismans I use erdtree +2, and Millicent, Alexander jar and last slot being a flex slot between ritual sword and rotten winged insignia. I noticed I do lots of L1 attacks.
