The operator was a very good one, especially when the three walls fell trapping his ball he released the brake and let it go, rather than damaging the crane.
I had to look at that bit a couple of times. You can see that the crane does move a bit, and there had to have been a chance of it being pulled over if the operator did not react in time, so he either free spooled the cable PDQ or there was an automatic device that did the same if the load exceeded safety margins.
Typically, recycling, of course it depends on who, where, when, what, and why. Bricks were recycled if mortar wasn’t used, stone was broken and recycled if it was mortared, wooden beams would be cut and reused, wicker was repaired, etc.
I'm pretty sure asbestos and other haz-mat must be removed before demolition begins. If the building is condemned, due to a fire or other structural problems, the requirement may be waved.
@@robert20770 Exactly, glad someone pointed that out. So many people seem to think that people just straight into demolishing buildings without asbestos abatement beforehand.
Something is funny about a bunch of extremely expensive and sophisticated equipment with skilled tradesmen being paid large salaries…. just to wack a ball against a building until it beats the shit out of it enough that it all crashes down.
Knows how to wreck shows hes got experience on rig,but needs to off the tire thats why ball got stuck ,that tire dont make ball any lighter u control shock load with brake feel u get that mastered your a fully skilled highballer, less hardware on ball less hangups
I can't see the number on this crane looks like a 138 link belt , but there's one thing you can take to the bank, that's not being used by manufacturers specifications. I worked for a crane rental company for many years but they wouldn't have been able to rent a crane from me .
Hats off to this operator. None of this gentle love tap crap. This guy is awesome!

The ball is connected by a tire, it’s made to rip loose so it doesn’t mess up the crane
@JoeyWarren-qr3gn okay..... thats not what happened though...
Really thought that the wrecking ball would be larger
@King Croc But it still looks smaller than Miley Cyrus's one
Yeah, you think the wrecking ball will be a lot more bigger to do a lot more damage
Then you risk damaging the crane and possibly tipping the crane
The average wrecking ball weighs about a ton, so it’ll get the job done.
Turns out iron is actually pretty heavy
Love when the operator comes back for another swing and the wall falls off during the windup
The steel door being ripped out of its frame at 1:45 was the funniest.

It begins at 1:30. Look at your 12 o'clock, follow the crane cable to the brown steel door.

A lot more interesting than seeing an excavator demolition..the wrecking ball makes it more worthwhile
These things are awesome. I wonder how the ancients demo'd stuff back then

Sad how they can't use these anymore due to asbestos. I would love to see this in action in real life!
platygetzkillz They’re still used. They used one yesterday to attempt to knock down the “leaning tower of Dallas.”
Aha! That's looks like Amy Rose with the hammer!

Asbestos n hazmat work has to be done before they bring in crane trucks n equipment.
the sound of the mechanical squeal is so scary omg
No more news from that building I guess.
Goood vid ! and operator !. Dad called doing this kind of work an art ! he had a point. Dont see too many Mobile cranes swinging a ball either .
"Top 10 most fun jobs"
Right on, Dont see to many wrecking balls nowadays ha

One of my favorite movies from years ago. 👥🤘🏼🤟🏾
:13 seconds, it's amazing how half of the building is gone, but yet a gray plastic garbage can, still stands upright, on the third floor.
50 thousand people would have gathered in India just to watch this.
Didn’t know they stil use the wrecking ball . Very effective though
They have giant mech claws that tear through buildings. I never knew
so...where is Miley Cyrus?
Fun job. My ball came offf. Rolled in to the sea. Still there. Les

the wrecking ball impact is so... anti-climatic...
Believe me there is plenty of carnage
Good swinging
I had to watch this for an assinmet good video though I saw how the energy transfered into the wall

wut a hilarious and cool tool
What takes weeks to build, likely stood for decades, destroyed in a day, cycle of life I suppose 🤔
What's the tire for?
In case the ball gets hung in something , the tire will test lose before the crane is damaged
I see, thank you
Why is there a random tire connected to the chain?
Stops shock transfer and gives the hook a bit of a safety barrier

how much is a fully sized wrecking ball in cash because my 15 year old stepdad wants one
I’m sorry, your _15 year-old_ step-dad?
I’m sure the ball doesn’t cost all that much but without a crane it’s an unattractive lawn ornament at best
@@ratherbefishing4225 it does
