    🚗 I never thought I'd get so excited about a garage door opener, but the tech inside of the LiftMaster Elite Series 85503 is SO convenient! Find out more: myte.ch/lmyt

    This showcase is sponsored by LiftMaster, but this product is seriously super dope. Moving is going to be a pain when I have to uninstall this and take it with me 😂

      It’s a nice opener. LiftMaster also has add on cameras to the older MyQ’s. I wish the model you have, had a panning camera, as that is what it appeared at first to be. Push a button and the camera would look at the back of the garage, push a button and it’s facing the driveway again. In the FUTURE quite possibly.

    Funny timing. We just used our Nest Hello doorbell to instruct a furniture delivery guy to drop off our delivery in the garage, which I opened remotely through the Chamberlain MyQ app. (He showed up 30 minutes early.). Very convenient indeed!

    I have the newer model of this. I have spent 2 or 3 days on support with LiftMaster and still have not been able to get it to work with Alexa. I can open the app and control the door. But I can't give voice controls to Alexa or Google automation. I was also told by the company that sold it that I would be able to set up guest passwords via the app so that contractors etc would be able to access the garage. And that I would be able to set those passwords up to expire after one use or certain number of days. There doesn't appear to be any functionality like that

    Fantastic video! This is one of my favorite garage door opener motors to install. I only wish that it came with built in LED. Chamberlain (parent company of LiftMaster) recently introduced the B6765 for the retail side. But that rail assembly is no where near the quality of the LiftMaster rail. I hope to have my review video out in this motor soon. Love your channel! Amazing content!

      Liftmaster dealers seem to always comment on the heavier duty rail. Also that it’s one piece. In real life I don’t hear a lot about the other rails bouncing all over or breaking. It’s like asking people to pay 3 times the price for heavier duty paper clips in my opinion. My less heavy duty rail doesn’t bounce, is quiet, and hasn’t broken nor has the rails of all the people that post reviews on it. Just like how they say the metal housing is better that the chamberlain plastic one . How often are you guys touching your garage door opener or subjecting it to heavy blows?

    • @sosgds
      @sosgds ปีที่แล้ว

      @@livnaway I completely understand where you're coming from. Chamberlain has continued to make a really good raill assembly for the retail Garage Door Opener motors. And I also acknowledge that the LiftMaster one piece rail assembly is not perfect. But these two companies are not the only ones that make garage door opener motors. There qre number of manufacturers that offer a pieced rail assembly to their motor lineup. And the whole of them are not very good. I believe Chamberlain has made strides because they've been one of the longest manufacturer's in the game. Nevertheless when it comes to offering a homeowner a superior product with a lot of value behind it, many go with the LiftMaster Pro Line motor. Now I know there's some guys that like the price gouge... thus if your local dealer charges three times more than a standard motor system, I would definitely shop around for a better deal.

    • @livnaway
      @livnaway ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sosgds your videos seem more objective and you seem more knowledgeable. This is a sponsored review and comes off more like an ad. When the “reviewer” says you can get one installed for $450, that is either ignorant or lowball enticement. Neither one are good. You can get the chamberlain version for 300 and install yourself. Liftmaster is a dealer model and most will not sell you without an install. Lowest price I found for the camera version was $750 installed. Curious as to what you charge for an installed Liftmaster camera version. I appreciate how SOS acknowledges that the retail version rail is still very good. I didn’t have the luxury of having Liftmaster sending me a free opener so the cost differential probably matters to me more than the sponsored reviewer.
