Ryan Doran No shit man, you ever hear his vocals on Power Metal and Cowboys from Hell? He used to be one of the best Metal singers ever. I dont know why he switched styles and started screaming. The drugs and constant use of throat screeching really damaged his voice. He can never sound like this again, what a damn shame
@generationtim Slayer has been around since 1983, Kerry King played very briefly with Megedeth in 1984. Kerry King never played with Pantera, only on special occasions like this one. He was just a guest for a few Slayer songs Pantera did a few days later.
Awesome! I used to go see Phil play in a band called Razor White here in New Orleans before he joined Pantera. Razor White also featured former Crowbar guitarist Matt Thomas on guitar.
@QShaque NO OFFENSE BUT, WHY WOULD YOU DOUBT THEE # 1 METAL BAND OV ALL TIME.One thing you can count on with Pantera, is that they will never let you down
@k0sta5 indeed, but he mostly self taught anyway. i can relate to starting a lead in the wrong spot and saying "fuck it, roll with it!"lol still, ya gotta admit he had some out-of-this-world chops from the very beginning XD cant wait for him to work with zakk wylde if it aint happening now...
Too bad Phil changed his vocal style. He was a good singer. All that screaming bands do now will destroy your voice. That's why greats like Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson are still in the game after so many years.
David Ellefson described Kerry as a master rythmn guitarist who could pick up a riff the instance he heard it. You can see this on a clip where he jams with Marty Friedman on a Japanese TV show.
Such a shame.. this band could have been big.... (tongue in cheek, remember, this was only a few years removed from Pantera wearing spandex and arm ribbons)
I loved that! I knew Dime and Phil were big into Priest but when Rex knows Ian's moves....that's just awesome.haha
Damn! Phil has great priest vocals!!

He changed on purpose. It's sad that 30 years into his career people still struggle with this.
Nobody who listened to CFH album is surprised.
Holy shit Phil sounds like Halford!

Good cover...Kerry blew the solo though...the tapping part was in the wrong key
wrong key and Kerry King are the same thing. 😂
It still kicked ass!
He played it on the B string rather than the E 😅
I'm surprised he didn't pick up on it immediately

RIP DIMEBAG & vinnie Paul Abbott !
Being a diehard Priest fan I admit this cover is pretty awesome
It wasn't the dimebag, brother! Kerry played it and he played 50% out-of-key notes. Fucking hilarious.

That's the old club Savvys, not a rehearsal place
Uh, man! Kerry king tapping & solo is not in correct key of notes!
Can somebody tell me why Dime didn't play the solo? Lol I love Kerry King man but cmon, we all know who should've played that solo....
Good cover...Kerry blew the solo though...
what club?
The old Savvys in Fort Worth, Tx
Yeah he was off for about a measure. If that had been Dime it would have sounded amazing!
Kerry king solo? Nah I’m good lol
Too bad Phil changed his vocal style. He was a good singer. All that screaming bands do now will destroy your voice. That's why greats like Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson are still in the game after so many years.
just carve these words into stone
❌Bruce Dickinson🚫 FAKE
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
True although Dime could have played it with his teeth if he wanted to
U know, kerry king wasnt all that bad
+Carter Brown i feel like he's a very good rhythm guitarist, although he sucks with solos
David Ellefson described Kerry as a master rythmn guitarist who could pick up a riff the instance he heard it. You can see this on a clip where he jams with Marty Friedman on a Japanese TV show.
lil wayne could play this
Such a shame.. this band could have been big.... (tongue in cheek, remember, this was only a few years removed from Pantera wearing spandex and arm ribbons)
