There is always something you can do. Some orders allow you to enter until 50 (for women, the Franciscan Poor Claire's do). You can stay in residence or retreat at monasteries, you can align yourself with a lay order, some lineages even provide vow ceremony for someone entering into hermitage in their own home. There is a New Monastic movement, where many, across denominations and faith traditions are grappling with being in the world, doing good work, and following monastic rhythms. It's a glorious time to be alive. There are many choices. May you find your way. 🙏🙏🙏
