Bar none, this is one of lost judgement’s most goated tracks. It takes a while to fully appreciate, but once you listen to it a few times, you’ll know what i mean.
Akutsu is like a new-generation Kuze in a lot of ways. Most people look down on him for being nothing but a "thug", but he was becoming a lieutenant in his own way right after the Tojo Clan disbanded. He may seen to be more of a madman because of his attempts to kill Tak with a chainsaw, but Yakuza were NEVER strangers to brutality; in 0 one of Kuze's underlings start talking about wanting to bury Kiryu in the mountains and destroying evidence of murder with an acid bath. The main difference between him and Kuze is that Kuze had a fancy suit and fought with boxing, while Akutsu knows *exactly* what he is, doesn't try to hide behind fancy clothing, and fights with pure muscle. But in the end, they're both tough pieces of crap that won't stay down no matter how many times they fall, with nothing but stubborn pride motivating them.
Akutsu is slow, but he can easily do a lot of damage to Yagami, especially regarding his deadly attack or grabs. One of his grabs is a headbutt that's guaranteed to stun (something worth mentioning is that once you're stunned, you stay stunned until it wears off or you mash out of it, even if hit or knocked down), and the other is a necklift and head bash that's difficult to escape from.
Man that ending sequence at 4:14 really made this song for me. I wonder why they cut that part out in the original soundtrack though, it sounded much better and more ominous with those ending trumpets.
I didn't notice the song playing the first time but I did when he fights you with the chainsaw and just holy shit did it all blend together so perfectly. I wouldn't say I was bored by the story up to that point, however I was kinda worried about when it would really start to pick up. Then this chapter just hit like a truck just all at once. The stakes were instantly raised to what I would say is the highest they've ever been in a rgg game. (Note I haven't played the first judgement since I play on xbox one nor have I played the other spin off games) Seeing Yagami in such a vulnerable state right at the brink of death, worrying about Sawa and the immediate danger, and just how sadistic Akutsu was. Then boom you get saved and the fight starts and I just hear this heavy ass intense theme. Just pure bliss. Absolutely my favorite track in the game.
More complicated and appealing character than what you would think first time, he is rather smart and understands that he is pawn, yet doesnt cries, also he figures they'll be dead after the thing happened. But he has the dark, brutal side whith all chaisaw shit. Therefore he is great character, i liked him
Spoilers Akutsu fr got wasted this dude would have been an incredible in subsequent games redeeming himself but like being a sort of opposite or additional parallel character to like kaito and kuwana. Dude had a ton of potential as a character still.
@@RandomCollection04 ah, well it‘s the same for me in the end, bc I only listen digitally. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want everyone to enjoy the music. Btw, do you have any clue if k2 and 6 ost were ever released digitally or are they just unavailable for unkown reasons?

TVTropes says Akutsu was a Nikkyo Consortium member. Guy must've been tough shit.

Yeah you have to smash your x or a button to get out of it

The legit raw emotion I felt during chapter 7 was incredible.
