OMG Jodie, have just watched your Uganda vlogs back to back and it looked amazing. I’m the same as you when I go on holiday I love the culture of the country I’m in. My hubby used to moan when I said I wanted to see the sights, restaurants, churches, museums etc but now he loves finding different things to do and places to visit as well. We take a walk after dinner and usually we end up in the places that the residents live in and we certainly get an idea of how they live sometimes it can be so sad. Take care lovely 🌻🌻🌻

Your husband cutting up that fruit really reminds me of growing up in Barbados…We had papaya, mango, avocado trees in our back yard, and sugar was our main export. Sugar canes grew all over the island. Now I go to the store in NY and pay ridiculous money for fruit that used to just fall off the trees in our back garden. I thoroughly enjoyed my virtual trip to Uganda😂 Thanks for inviting me. Safe travels back to the Uk.

I literally have ripe papaya in the fridge (super expensive over here 🇬🇧), my mum loves it. I love jackfruit, again, super expensive here, I had it in Jamaica, it has a mango-pineapple taste imo. Glad you’re having a great time. 🙂

Hi Diane Unfortunately I did as that dish is a Ugandan dish it a Ghanaian/ Nigerian dish my dad was half Ghanaian and half Nigerian so I make jollof all the time at home. Ugandan is very different and I was quite surprised when see all their different food it was very Asian inspired but with no chilli 🤔

Jack fruit is an acquired taste and has a kind of oval long shape. The leg swelling will take time to go down as there are several reasons why they swell, heat and salt contribute to it. Keep them well elevated, and circulate and rotate your feet and stretch the legs.
People who have just enough money and live in Africa are BLESSED! What a gorgeous place with natural food and beautiful people.
