Now teach em proper cross country skiing technique. They need to learn to skate on skis so they can move fast. Good skill that also helps when doing downhill skiing so you don't look like a noob on the catwalk.
Skating on skiis is extremely hard to do when off-piste or with heavy equipment. I see no reason to learn it. Better to get good with the classic techniques
@@WolfHowl-TheLab Good point. I was thinking it would be hard with a heavy ruck but it's still a good skill to learn. What if they find themselves in a situation on skis where they have no pack and just a rifle? The best laid plans fall apart after first "contact".
