  • I finally am faced with the dreaded task of changing a headlight bulb on my 2011 Nissan Versa. I have seen the comments that it was a terrible process. And after a little investigation, I know why. It's cramped for hand space. The bulb change is pretty easy when you know the little tips / secrets to make it easy and today I'm showing you how to make a terrible process pretty easy in less than five minutes.

Excellent advice, especially about not touching the bulb. A lot of people complain that the bulbs don't last. Hopefully mine will. One more tip, though. Don't drop the grommet down inside the wheel well! I drew blood snaking my big arm down there to fish it out (passenger side). But all's well that ends well. Thanks!

You are the only person that explains how to change a head light bulb, and the bulb is a high and low head light. Many thanks

Very helpful video. The clip is a pain, especially if you have large hands and can't see what's going on. If anyone else is having an issue, you may want to take a look at the metal outer socket area on the new bulb. You'll see the groove where the clip snaps underneath. This will give you a better understanding of how the clip is secured and how to remove it. Peace.

Yeah you're not wrong...these are the worst changing lol there's NO.SPACE.WHATSOEVER. I'm clumbsy so I just wear rubber palm work gloves to replace the bulbs...you ruin a $60+ bulb once bc you touched the glass from fumbling and you won't do it again 🤣🤣

It was immensely helpful to see the “lay of the land”, before attacking this one. But if I could go back in time and find the person who engineered those clips, I’d …

Saw several videos to do this dreaded task but yours was the only one to do passenger side. Before your video I was struggling to get the clips off. Used your tip and it went so much better. 45 min of struggle, 5 minutes after watching you. Thank you.

Fixed position camera = not very helpful. Please use a handheld or GoPro so we can see the parts involved.

An important thing to do would be showing how to disconnect the connector which is a step before removing the rubber cap

Thank you! Your tip for using the left hand to position the right bulb made all the difference in the world. It only took a few minutes using your technique and now I won't dread this task the next time I have to face it.

70-yr-old Grandma says thank you for the wonderfully clear directions. Wow zowie, we got it done!

  • @ShanIAmBalance

Your instructions are SO good! Thank you and I will let you know how this goes once I get the bulb.

Thank you Basin Motorsports, very much appreciated. I suggest adding Randy Malkosky`s comment into your video ``When putting the rubber piece back on, it's easy to accidentally cover one of the prongs on the bulb (leading to multiple frustrated attempts to plug the connector back on`` I just had this experience few minutes ago as well.

I'm an engineer and was awed by your plain english explanation. I found it very helpful to use pliers to gently pull on the rubber tab, my fat, old fingers weren't quite getting it! Thanks.

Very helpful - thanks. I could not figure out the clip until I saw this but I had a problem. After I put the headlight in and put the clips back I was trying to put the rubber grommet back and I friggin dropped it inside the car. I have searched and cannot find it! I cannot understand where it went. Your instructions were stellar tho.
