I think we like the same trains, the 68's look gorgeous in these colors! Very nice station love the feeling of the station but it was really windy for you. Have a great week!
I have a real passion for the 68's they look stunning in their new colours :) I'm glad you enjoyed watching this I loved coming here even if the weather wasn't on my side
York is roughly halfway between Kings Cross and Edinburgh on the East Coast Mainline yet many LNER services change drivers and restaurant crew at Newcastle. What if LNER changed their crew at York? By the way, I Really love the excellent TPE Livery on the 68s. Today TransPennine’s Newcastle-Liverpool Lime Street services are currently extended to Edinburgh and what if they also stopped at Dunbar and the EMT Meridians make seasonal services to York and Scarborough. Carlisle is actually the real Northern Terminus of the Midland Mainline despite services to and from St. Pancras starting and terminating at Sheffield and Leeds. Northern Rail has really improved their image with their new white Colour scheme from their former colours.
Yet another fantastic clip Jarred i highly recommend visiting The NRM with that Observation balcony that is complete with a Train Times Board and a little peak at York's IECC albeit a relay monitor back in 2010 when i visited there plus The Shambles and York Minster. Trouble is with those Pubs being 6ft 1in i tend to whack my head on the beams clearly the 16/17th Century Pub builders didn't have tall people in mind when they designed them ah well it was a nice place to visit .
Thanks very much mate I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I love coming to York there is always something good to see here and there always plenty to do. When I was walking around the city last year there were so many small alley ways with small shops and cafes with a great selection of things on offer for locals and for the tourists
Fantastic video as always mate I often travel to York a lot for days out and weekends away with my misses as it"s only an hours train ride from Newcastle and Sunderland which are my two stations also York is one of my favorite places and one of the best places to do train spotting at as it"s got everything to do with trains even the National Railway Museum which i highly recommend you visit and it"s free entry.
Thanks very much I'm glad you watching this, I have been to the NRM a fair few times and I always enjoy having a walk around and seeing what's going on in the workshop. Last time I was there I think there was a Deltic getting some attention but I cant remember which one it was
Brilliant video from a fantastic station, absolutely enjoyable. Shame one of those 68s didn't start up that would have sounded brilliant in the station. I look forward to your next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I loved my time here it's a great station to come to. I would have loved one of the 68's to have started up under the roof
Nice video Jarred. I love your especially the NRM it will be better when the novas come through and also the new Azumas and the new northern class 195’s and 395’s civitys.
Wow brilliant film. I’ve been lucky enough to see TPE 68s on 3 occasions with 2 of them being on TPE testing but I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve to see it. Those 68s look brilliant as well 😃
Another great video. The good news is that RMT have suspended their Saturday strikes as Northern have finally accepted that getting rid of guards is not a good idea. If you come up to this part of the world on a Saturday now you'll have plenty of opportunity to film pacers before they go!
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, officially the strikes had been called off on the weekend I was filming however because of the short notice they were forced to run a strike timetable as they couldn't get all of the staff available for a full timetabled service
5:24 Dont get me wrong i love the HSTS as they are legendary but whats wrong with the voyagers. They are amazing. Obviously each to their own but as you know from my commentary in one of my videos i love the voyagers.
Great film there and well done for braving the windy conditions before Storm Erik arrived. Shame there were no Class 37's come through. You would have have got some rip-roaring sounds under the roof. Pacers should start being scrapped this year to make way for the new 195's that will be introduced. As will those 68's running with the the Nova 3 sets.
Thanks very much, once I got into the heart of the station then there was no issue with the weather at all thankfully but it was horrid when I was standing at the far end of the platforms that were the most exposed but sadly that comes with the territory haha. I would have loved to have seen a 37 or a 68 powering up under the roof it would have been an awesome sight to see
History, gotta love it. Former King of Stations, amazing! What's the largest today..? Love the look and feel of being on a curve, under the roof just massive. Great film, really liked this one! B.P.
This is one of the most famous stations in the UK and during the summer it is one of the most picturesque to come to. I will be coming back here later in the year when newer services get introduced.
Thanks very much, I dare say I will be coming back here later in the year under slightly better weather conditions and I will probably film in the NRM as I do enjoy going around there
There is a half hourly TPE service between Liverpool and York which takes approx. 2 hours. It's a nice station and you've also got the superb National Railway Museum which is easy to get to if you exit the station at the west end away from the main entrance. If you get bored with trains there are also some superb real ale pubs.
London ST Pancras International. A weekend only service to York via Doncaster & Sheffield. During the summer timetable, a weekly East Midlands Trains service will run to Scarborough.
York Minster is the largest Cathedral In nothern Europe a place where the Queen of England and other royals have where ship a Cathedral is so big it requires its own police force and more than 300 keys
I do get that sometimes but then I usually take it in my stride and make it a part of the film, most of the time people either wave or smile if they think they are on camera. The fun part is when the windows on the trains are slightly tinted which means that they can see quite clearly out into the world but I cant see them
Great video Jarred, love York, one of my favourite Stations 😊
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, I loved my time here there is always something good to see

I love York, one of my favourite UK cities. Its sounded really windy that day. Anyway, I enjoyed this video.
Awesome video and TPE class 68s do look good can't wait to see them in service👍👍👍
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) I cant wait to see the 68's in full service
Great video again keep it up
Thanks very much
Great video as always, for me the outstanding piece was, of course, the beautiful sight of the pacer at the end.
Keep up the great work.
T.T.P.F.
Thanks very much, I'm glad that the pacers were a good sight for you ;)

I just ADORE the class 185s.
I just wish there line was extended to London kings cross 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥

That Glasgow to Plymouth service might be short formed when that was filmed. There is a big possibility in that.
Nice video
Thanks for letting me join you
Thanks very much you're more than welcome it was a fun filled day out

Excellent film again Jarred. Did anyone order a Pacer? Anyone? 😂
Thanks very much :) I thought I got away without seeing any of them but sadly not haha
God York looks stunning also 150120 is ex GWR as well
York is a great station to come to and one that I never get bored at because there is always something happening here
Great video.
Did you ever consider doing the national rail museum?
Thanks very much, I dare say I will be coming back here later in the year under slightly better weather conditions and I will probably film in the NRM as I do enjoy going around there
Tornado922 When are you going to Preston. Can you do it in a year time becuase I may be going then
By the end of their journey the people in the pacers spines will be a jigsaw puzzle
Sadly so haha
Have you watched any vids from my friend TobyTherailwayboy765 ?
Also I thought virgin trains lost the railway in June 2019
What about Vergin east coast
VTEC no longer exist, they are now LNER
What app do use to find out what train it will be?
RealTimeTrains
wow a great video but under 1 condition why was there an East Midlands Trains meridian at york which contains a no real service
Thanks very much, every Saturday EMT operate a service to York via Doncaster from St Pancras
What stations in London do you need a sticker badge to trainspot
All of them
O
Thanks for reply
Is this station worth me coming to I live near liverpool

Did you see Don Coffey??? ;-)
I don't believe so ;P
wait i think that is my dads birthday.
Only you would know.......
U forgot to see Grand Central in today's video.
It's not the end of the world
I hate those bloody 142s. I want them to go now.
Same I’ve been on one from Liverpool to Widnes and it was so shitty
Those Pacers should be melted down in to tin cans and some killer battle droids
Do you know York Minster
No
York Minster is the largest Cathedral In nothern Europe a place where the Queen of England and other royals have where ship a Cathedral is so big it requires its own police force and more than 300 keys
And the nicest even though my brother replicated one of the statues which was naked I think when my brother was 5
Do you know the bell in York Minster Great Peter
I don’t know anything about it to be honest apart from the fact it’s a cathedral and it makes York a city and it’s got a stunning walk
Great video. I've subbed your channel and would appreciate same. Thanks.
Thanks very much for subscribing to my channel it is greatly appreciated
Do people look at you funny as you seam to be talking to yourself
