I watched this video 5 times in these past months. I loved the story behind you getting the guitar, the shows with the videos to prove it, and it's such a good journey. I wasn't even born when they made those guitars but I have been looking for a reverse headstock version. Thank you so much for sharing your story with actual footage. So much of this video has rich history and that's what really made it good.
I have this guitar but it is the blond off white kind of color, Seymour Duncan bridge with two Duncan hot rails, Original Floyd Rose with the same chipped head stock, one tone one volume knob with the blade switch no splitter. These guitars lost the copyright lawsuit to Jackson due to the head stock shape being too similar or identical so the ones that were not sold had to be destroyed as they couldn't just unbolt the neck, I think mine is 1987, they are historic due to the copyright lawsuit, they are damn heavy and solid to hold, pretty rare.
They are fantatic guitars.. bought my 1989 mirage custom in 1990 used.. the guy wanted a les paul.. it was custom ordered at the time.. its pearl white with matching white headstock.. but the headstock is NON jackson..whcih really didnt appear until 1991?..and it has jackson sharkfin inlays on an ebony fingerboard..maybe ESP did not want issues with Jackson at that time witj thise inlays so my headstock might be the first of that non jackaon era.. i prefer the jackson one tbh..very cool you still have it man!!!

Looks great, old concorde style headstock, this guitar must be from 86-87!
I'm not sure of the year of mine to be honest, it is the 80's but not sure on the exact year, I'd love to know more that's why I'm looking tonight.
They debuted in 1986 no earlier
