- In this video I show you how I create a resin Ocean with black sands. I have been wanting to do a Black Sands Ocean for ages. This video is not a tutorial it is a giveaway. I therefore do not spend much time talking through the process of building the ocean.

Great piece. What happens to all the excess resin that drips off, do you put moulds underneath to catch it? Enter me please.
Sadly on flat work it's hard to see and salvage resin over the edge. Ideally ... you wouldnt allow the resin to go over the edge but with oceans its hard as you are moving the resin with a heat tool. If it was salvagable you can scrape it off and put it in other mould straight away ... on this occasion sadly no .. . It is waste. Looks more than it is though. Working with moulds is way easier .... zero waste. Xxxx And yay ... youre entered x

Claire’s Crafty Corner yes i am, I have a starter resin pack and have done some very small pendant molds, nothing in them just pigment lol.....but took them out yesterday and they look fab, so now I’m all gung ho and ready to get cracking, just waiting for some decent size molds to arrive. Ps.. use a clear line of resin and then 2 different whites one behind the other on top of it for the waves, and then heat gun and quick torch. Like Le-Rez angel white & Just Resin Titanium white.. Or Just Resin Titanium White & Artree Iceland white.. after the heat gun do a little tilt left right action as you quickly torch. Then let the board cool a minute and onto the next wave. It scorches bc we don’t let the resin cool down between waves. One time I picked up the board mid pour and the whole thing was ouchie hot. So I slowed down between my waves and bam.. the magic started happening. That’s what helps me get a good sea scape. Yours are gorgeous! I saw the comment that you said you had burned it anyways 😂😂😂 so I’m just throwing out what works for me. Every single thing has a learning curve. 😫

🤣🤣🤣 this is so so true !! I am still learning very much ... I find my waves better if I pour along the edge of the resin ... if I pour in the middle they are more muddy .. but that could be my white. I only have one white pigment .. so it's good to get the names of others xxxx thankyiu xxx ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have been out of work since May and have been getting my craft cabin sorted and up and running to hopefully start my own business...But I have only just started working with resin...its amazing isn't it?! I finished my first resin casting session using pressed flowers from the garden and glitter and it turned out great.
