I am very happy to be listening to you Guatam. You inspire me because you are a young guy like myself. I was ready to disassociate from the psychological ideas we have that actually make up what most of us believe is the “real world” at a relatively young age. Maybe it was previous lives spent attempting to wake up. Who really knows? The point however is that this very lifetime my “dream” has come true, as I now have a proper Guru in the Shankara Vedanta Sampradaya. I am extremely blessed and I give thanks to the lineage every day. I also revere and make sure I thank the great jnanis like Ramana and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and Siddharameshswar Maharaja as well without whom l wouldn’t have come to that vital and pivotal point of evolution whereby one is led on to the deeper levels of mind until we see without doubts that we are That without which we cannot know what we know and know what we experience.
Thanks so much for this story. I'm currently going through another big life change which on the surface seems scary and worrisome but I know is an exciting chance to minimize my attachments and possesions. Well I was worried and anxious and a bit depressed, but Nisargadatta's words and especially Siddharameshwar's books and words changed my life and hit me so hard these past 8 yrs or so, I went to hear some Siddharam's quotes. Simply amazing, his words dispelled my fears almost instantly. Serendipity brought me to their teachings, and while other current Vedanta teachers have some great wisdom, nothing has the power of this lineage's teachings. Siddharameshwar especially never dabbled in duality, kindergarten teachings of "how to do well in life" etc. The pure self is always brave, and always joyfull. thanks again. Sometimes I think I must have been Indian in a previous life.
